Let's Brew a Floral Blend

Happy Sunday everyone. This past week has been very emotionally rough for me, and I kept debating whether or not to do a post. But working on my blog posts have always been therapeutic for me, as well as putting outfits together. So let's get this week's post started.

Uber opened last week and the theme this month is Country Spring. Let me just say....it isn't very country at all. Lots of leather jackets, bikinis, and cute shorts, yet not much "country". I absolutely adore the new hair by Truth, it reminds me of Maui for some reason. I think it is due to the flower add-on...even though the flower is a daisy and not a plumeria.  Moon Hair also has a really cute fat braid with daisy add-ons as well. Adds a bit of youthfulness and innocence to an otherwise simple hairstyle.

Vinyl and Azuchi has collaborated to create this really cool leather jacket and shirt combo. You buy the pieces separately, and you can then mix and match. I bought the brown leather jacket along with the Off Duty Mermaid tank--kinda badass, yet fun...a fun badass? If it wasn't a thing before, it is now. Foxes also has these AMAZING leather jackets with fun designs on the back and some of them have the designs on the sleeves. I bought two of the jackets, one with an elephant, and then the simple white leather jacket with just the bronze detailing. Very fun, and adds a bit of a bohemian edge to something normally rebellious.

Tres Blah has a cute tank and skirt combo out. Again you buy your pieces separately so you can mix and match as you would like. I think this outfit was perfect, and it actually follows the theme for this month. Very fun, very freeing, and very simple.

A few people have released bikinis and lingerie for this event. I liked the Blueberry's best. I bought two pairs, the red and then the pink floral. Each bikini comes with a cute little floatie you can wear and just chill on or you can use the hud provided with it to bump and follow your friends (your friends would have to be wearing a floatie as well). Reign and Just Because helped take part in the floatie fun and both of their floaties you can purchase separately at the Blueberry booth. I bought the Just Because black cat, because secretly I am a crazy cat lady.

Not much else to report. Pure Poison has two cute shoes out which are completely customizable via the texture hud. Reign also has come cool boots, I could never call them country because the metal boot jewelry attached makes it look way more biker-chick than anything. Add Milk for a More Ethereal Taste

Happy Sunday everyone! This past week, again, has been super busy for me. Luckily my vacation starts in a few days. I will finally be able to get a lot of rest and relaxation done! HURRAY! On with this week's post.

Uber opened the end of February with the theme of Ethereal, and let's just say I went crazy. So many gorgeous things. I really did like quite a few outfits and pieces. I am so happy with this round, especially since the last few events haven't really inspired my muse. The creators have ignited my inspiration with their items this time. Let's start with my favorites...

Just Because has a GORGEOUS gown out for the event. The gown is called Kimbra, and it reminds me of a gown an angel would wear--not quite a dress, not quite a toga. There are two parts to the gown, the gown itself and then the optional train. Trust me...you are going to want to wear the train. The dress has some sequins beading in the bust traveling down the gown, to give it a bit more dimension. It is very important to note this dress is for MESH BODIES ONLY. There are no standard sizes for the classic avatar. So make sure you have a body, AND YOU DEMO BEFORE YOU BUY!

ISON also has a gown out with reminded me briefly of the gown released for Collabor88 back in August. This gown has a lacy bodice which then gives way to a sheer bottom overlay. Simple, pretty, and adds a bit of classic look to your evening wear. I thought the gown looks great paired with Truth's new hair called Polilla (which can also be found at the event). The hair does come with optional moth and headband add-ons. I prefer the hair without the add-ons for this outfit, but I do like the moth concept itself. Adds a bit of mystic I think to the hairstyle.

Kitja has a cute and more modern outfit. A lace skirt and a loose blouse combo which to me looks very chic and simple. I like this outfit a lot, and I think it is probably my favorite purchase from Uber. You can pick your own color combination, and again like with the Just Because gown, this outfit is for MESH BODY wearers. No standard sizes are included. Please Demo before you buy.

Peppermint Tea to Help After the Holidays

Happy Holidays and Happy Sunday! I hope everyone has enjoyed their Christmas; if you don't celebrate Christmas I hope you had a wonderful winter weekend! I was debating whether or not to post this weekend, but after I went to N21 and Uber I thought I would do a short and sweet post.

I haven't mentioned the event N21 much in my blog, but this event opens every month on the 21st. It doesn't really do themes, but all the items there are very original and fun. This round I bought some cute navy leggings by Blueberry, and I played Reign's gacha and won some cute boots which reminds me of Uggs.

Uber opened on Christmas with a freestyle round! Really exciting. I bought another piece by Blueberry--a fun sweater dress. It comes with a color change hud for the sweater's buttons and fur lining. Also Pixicat has a wonderful jumpsuit! I adore the glitter colors. Baiastice has a really cute lace dress. And Nylon Outfitters released this really cute Beauty Pageant dress and make-up and tiara with sash's which to me makes small fun at the Miss Universe Pageant. Really funny. All of you should go check it out~ The creators really did a great job! I am always excited to see all the creativity.

Irish Coffee to Start Your Holidays

Sun has had a busy week, and when she asked me if I would consider doing this week's post I jumped at the chance. This has been both a busy and wonderful week for me. But this is not about me. This is about fashion--if there were an Uber theme made for me, it would be their current theme for the month, Androgynous. So settle in for a moment with some Irish Coffee or a cuppa.

I usually do not do much when it comes to fashion events on Second Life. Sun is usually the one to tell me all about it and shows me what I might want to get, or what she thinks will look good on me. Sun told me she thought this month's theme of Androgynous for Uber reminded her of me and that I would love it. I went, and I spent much more Linden than I had planned. Oh my goodness. I was in fashion heaven. I loved every outfit. I do not think I could pick a favorite for this round of Uber. I will be going back to get more once I get paid.

It was nice to see an event that has so many different styles which can be worn by both genders. This is not generally something I tend to think about when I'm out shopping for my avatar; I hardly ever go shopping for my avatar because nine times out of ten I'm in my dragon avatar. But after walking around Uber, I was pleased to see that both genders can use some of these outfits and styles. So if you have a boyfriend, husband, male avatar, or if you just want to get some awesome clothes, go to Uber. You have a plethora of chic options to choose from.

Happy Halloween!

Happy Halloween and Dia de Los Muertos! I hope everyone's weekend has been a lot of fun. I also hope everyone had fun dressing up for the holiday! I dressed like Jack the Ripper this year. And let me tell you, my costume was EPIC! I had mutton chops and everything!!! Since Halloween is over, people can now fully enjoy the Autumn season, which has been gorgeous.

Uber opened last weekend and the theme is Pumpkin Spice....LOVE! All the items have fall colors and are just amazing. I had to set a spending limit for this round, because if I did not set a limit I would buy all the items...All the items...

Erratic has a sweater legging combo exclusively for the Maitreya Mesh Body. I love the textures on the sweater. It looks like wool and I love it. Just LOVE. ISON has a fun poncho out for the event as well and the texture options to pick from are fun. Fashionably Dead has a cute dress and sweater combo, and the combo just reminds me of when I have the windows open on a crisp Autumn day and have the kettle on. It looks like something I would wear while bundling up on the sofa with a throw-blanket. Just deliciously wonderful. Reign has some really cool moccasins, and Emery has a shirt which reminds me of Coco Chanel with the simple colors and stripes-and as I have mentioned before, I am a sucker for Coco Chanel. Zenith has a wonderful dress which has a hud to change the texture of the skirt and the leather belt. I always love it when creators include huds to change textures. It gives you so much more options, like buying a fatpack...except not.... You know what I mean.

I don't often talk about the hairs I am wearing but for the Pumpkin Spice round, I feel I have to. Truth's hair is just...Adorable! Just Adorable!!! It comes with a hat option, and the hat is a fox! You can even change the fox's colors with a hud. I ADORE IT!! And I am not often one for hats. Olive also has a cute side braid and I am a complete sucker for braids. Due has a cute hair as well, again it is a side braid, but it reminded me too much of Truth's Ishya. Still really cute.

Loose Leaf for the Best Taste

Happy Sunday! Hugs and Smooches Tea Readers. I hope this past week has been fun for everyone. I have been busy with work, helping plan a friend's wedding, and with family birthdays and anniversaries. October is a very busy month for my family and I. Despite being busy with all the crazy going around, I have been able to check out Uber!

Uber opened last week as a freestyle round. It is always fun to see what has been created when the creators/designers are given free-reign. I was disappointed Truth did not release a hair this round, but Moon has released a fun curly hair for this round, and we all know I love fun and curly.  Olive also has a cool hair which is like a side ponytail...almost. There is one thing I don't like about Olive hairs--the Olive hairs on me have gaps in the forehead region with me. I don't know if it is because I have a narrow forehead, or if my forehead isn't "full" enough. It was an easy problem to fix though because I edited my shape a bit to have a fuller forehead. It has helped with the gap for most of the Olive hairs. Again, try demos, ALWAYS, before you buy. And if something doesn't fit right, don't be afraid to edit your shape and Save As (I have a few shapes saved for different things--one for pictures where I am smiling, one for Olive hair, and a few for different designers).

The clothes and home items at this round are fun, and the funnest item for me is a sweater/shirt combo from Vinyl. I love the "Coffee, Books, & Rain" printed option, and there is a hud for changing textures for the sweater. When I was putting the outfit together, it was fun and reminded me of when I was in college. Very nerdy but chic. I had to wear these over-sized glasses by Yummy with it. It just completed the look.

Also Zenith has a really pretty dress which reminded me of a toga....I love togas. Erratic also has a really sexy dress which is specifically fitted to the Maitreya Lara Mesh Body. It is short, has partially corseted sides, and look perfect for clubbing! And we all know I love to go clubbing!

Chocolate Croissants for a Sinful Experience

Yay for Sundays! I hope this week as been amazing. I know for me it really has been. I am back to a normal work schedule, and I have been trying to spend as much time as I can soaking up the end of summer--who knows how this winter will be.

Festival of Sin opened last Sunday, and I was so shocked at how easy it was to teleport in and to find everything. The layout is very fun; each sin is separated (lust, envy, gluttony, wrath, sloth, vanity) and it was so fun exploring the different areas. I only made purchases in envy and vanity. Envy's set is my favorite. It looks like a pleasant suburb with trees, birds and cute little houses.

The two outfits I bought were from Baiastice and Junbug. Baiastice's dress is really opulent looking to me. You have choices between solid and ombre colors. In each pack there is a solid and a sheer version. In my opinion the sheer version is the best. It shows off your legs, and leaves your privates covered enough so you do not have to wear underwear if you do not want to (and still don't really "show" anything). The Junbug outfit isn't a dress; it is a "bloomer" set. I personally love the flowers. The openness of the front with the complete coverage in the back makes it look fun from every angle! I don't think I will be wearing the outfit "out" much, but I will probably be running around my studio and home in it. Yay!

Uber opened on Tuesday with an Athletic theme. I bought more than I thought I would, but my real purchases were some skins by Glam Affair. They are a bit brighter and cleaner, and I love them! I bought a few sports items,but my favorite has to be a cropped t-shirt from Bueno which says, "Yoga and Wine". The shirt is a darker purple, not my normal color, but it looks great with my new pair of Yoga pants from Blueberry which are AMAZING! I know this picture is kind of random, but I like this look a lot as well.

Fundraisers and Tea Parties.... Let's make this a thing~

Happy Sunday everyone!!! I have been trying to better balance my time this week, and it has been a challenge with my work schedule being hectic once again.  Even though I haven't been on Second Life as much this past week, I still have been to a few events. One of the events really gets to my heartstrings, as I am sure it will get to yours' as well.

The Lexi Project is a fundraiser to help Lexi Zelin, owner of RedAngel Couture, who has been diagnosed with Stage Three Hodgkin's Lymphoma. She has a little girl and does not work, besides in Second Life, and she needs help paying her medical bills. What has really touched me in regards to this fundraiser is the amount of people in Second Life coming together to help this person who many have not even met before. There are over 350 designers/creators at the event so far, and while I was there last Sunday afternoon I saw some people still setting up. All items for sale at the event contribute 100% to Lexi. And if you don't want to purchase anything, there are donation kiosks located throughout the area. You can also donate to Lexi's GoFundMe page. How beautiful to see such community in Second Life. So many people coming together to help Lexi, who is a stranger to many of us, at least to me she is. I am not familiar with herself or her store, but when I saw there was a fundraiser and read her story, I had to go and help. 

When my father went into the hospital, almost two years ago, he went in uninsured and the bills were piling up. I took on extra shifts at work to help pay bills for my mom; my sister also worked more hours to help pay for things. Family, immediate and distant, and friends all came together to help us while my dad was in the hospital--and they continue to help even now while he is recovering. I know what it is like when someone you love is sick and has medical bills that seem like they are never ending. My mom and dad would not be where they are, and my father would not be here today, without people's prayers, positive thoughts, love, and kindness. So, when I saw Project Lexi, I had to contribute.

I only bought a necklace and some slippers, but I made sure to make a straight donation to one of the kiosks. A pair of jeweled slippers by Anachron matched an outfit I bought from Uber created by Emery. It is a long tank-top which has a split down the front. At first I thought it looked silly, but when I looked at the ad and saw the matching jeans to go with it I didn't think it looked silly at all. I bought the ombre blue/purple top, and these jeweled slippers from the Lexi Project look nice paired with it. To me it looks almost like lounge wear or like fun causal wear. I really like the look paired with the new Truth Hair this round. Pixicat does have a dress and sweater combo at Uber, but I didn't buy it due to having similar dresses already... I am trying hard to curb my buying. The theme for Uber is Street. I got a very Urban feel from all the creators. So A+ to them for really keeping with the theme. I am not much of an urban girl, even though I do live in a city.

Wintergreen for a Wild Brew

Uber opened on Friday last week and the theme for this month is Rustic. Truth does not have a hair out for this month, but I have a suspicion...since Uber's 1st Birthday is coming up, I am thinking Truth Hawks is creating an extra gorgeous and awesome hair for the event. Anyway, the theme this month is Rustic. It reminds me of cowboys, the untamed wilderness, and my mother's family(her whole family is from Southern Virginia...Appalachian Mountain people). I will admit not to being much of a country girl. I don't like country music but I do enjoy some folk bluegrass; I love nature but hate camouflage print; I love to shoot but hate hunting; I love to fish but suck cleaning my catch. I am going to go ahead and say, for Rustic I can see it with a lot of the items, but for some of the outfits I don't see rustic at all.

Zenith has a really nice dress that looks more bohemian to me than rustic, but it is fun and fits really well. I ended up buying the red dress because I liked the gold trim on the bottom better than the trim on the lighter colored dresses. Baiastice has a dress that also does not look very rustic. It is simple, and, in my opinion, pretty--it isn't very rustic. It is a simple floor length dress, very slim fit with spaghetti straps, and has a simple design at the bottom. I would not call this dress rustic by any means, it is more simplistic than rustic.

Pixicat has a fun two piece outfit with a fun lace skirt and a denim top. It is mix and match so you pick your shirt and skirt. Also ISON has a gorgeous....GORGEOUS lace off-shoulder dress that looks good in heels and in boots. I love this dress. LOVE it. I have it paired with some star-studded boots I bought a while ago from Shiny Shabby. I knew I bought those boots for a reason, and this dress is it!

Maharaja Chai and a Berry Scone

Happy Sunday everyone! I hope this past week has been wonderful for all of you. I know it was rough for me. Turns out I had the stomach flu and a sinus infection. Despite my sickness, I still was able to enjoy my shopping, and lets just say... I have really enjoyed this past week.

Shiny Shabby opened last week and let me just say....flowers! Lots of floral prints and garden items. Everyone is trying to jump into spring and prepare for the fun summer. I bought some jewelry sets by Aphorism, some rings by ieQED, and a dress by GizzA. I didn't end up buying the dress from Zenith. I tried the demo and the skirt didn't look flattering on my shape.  Fun round, and there are some cute shoes as well, so go check it out. There is something there for everyone.

Now onto my favorite thing since Collabor88 opened a few weeks ago...UBER! The theme this round is Spice, and let me tell you it reminds me of Bollywood and India and is just my dream. This month is looking to be my month for rounds. Collabor88 is Into the Light, and is all with my favorite color schemes. Uber is Spice and has my style and pieces of my soul. I just.... Love it. All the Hairs are awesome. Truth's is fun--it is a long side braid. Moon has a pretty LONG (like really long) hair. Olive has a LONG (again, like really long) hair. And Little Bones has a hair that is long and one comes with a head-scarf option and it is just fun.  I bought a lot of hairs this round.

I bought a ton of jewelry and outfits, but I am only going to mention of few of them for this post. If I listed all the outfits and jewelry pieces I bought this would turn into a monstrously long post.  I really like the Couture Saree by Nylon Outfitters. It is partial mesh with system layers/applier layers.  She also has silk shirts and leggings, all in fun prints and colors. Seul has a fun cropped shirt/skirt combo which is very fun. The skirt is high-low and very long in the back; I love it. Maxi Gossamer has a fun jewelry set. The set has a slight discount for the event, so when it goes up in her mainstore the price will increase. The best thing about the Maxi Gossamer set is you can change the colors of the jewels and the metals! So this is a great set to go with practically any outfit. Also...Zaara is at this round! And she has released something for the men this time. A very handsome suit and turban. I ended up buying a turban for myself. I think I will pair it with a dress or something. One of Glam Affair's vendor pictures inspired me. Anyway Zaara's male suit is very dashing and every gentleman needs one, and every lady needs to make sure her man buys one. Love this suit.

Noon Chai to Add Color to Your Cup

Yay for Sundays! This weekend has been crazy busy for me. Well...this week in general has been crazy busy. Earth and I held a Derby Party yesterday and getting our home prepped and getting the party set up, well...it's exhausting. But oh so worth it for the fun memories. Congrats to American Pharaoh for the win! It was a wonderful race.

Last Saturday Uber opened with it's new round called Neon. It reminds me of Miami, clubbing, and fun times.  I was very surprised with how Linden$ happy I was at this event. I went through about 3000L$ without even thinking about it. I just kept hitting pay.  I normally like soft pastel colors, and I don't typically go for bright in your face colors. With Uber, ALL the creators did a phenomenal job with the items and the colors. To me all the items were done so tastefully (hints as to why I bought a lot more than I normally do at an event). First, Uber normally has some cool decor to go with the theme every month, and this month they are so cool-let me just say the neon stars and on the ground are AWESOME. I felt like I was in a club the whole time. And getting into the event was easier than normal. I got in without even using my "LetMeIn" teleport Hud.

One of my favorite buys is a party dress (I would not call it cocktail. It screams PARTY) by Nylon Outfitters. Simple dress, only has a mesh skirt piece, the rest goes on the default body (appliers are included for Maitreya's Lara Mesh Body). The dress is black, and partially sheer; there are different neon sign designs on the front of the dress which I just love. I bought the one with the picture of a martini glass with two lips and says "Cocktails and Dreams". Love this dress. I was dancing at The Woods all weekend in it. I had it paired with a leather jacket by Foxes, and then I had at one point my red/blue parrot familiar/pet from Manticore as well.  Love this dress. It was a great price, at around 200L$!!! I think it is a steal. I also bought the necklace and earrings at the booth. Just amazing items at such great prices, you really can't go wrong.

Tres Blah is at the event as well, and the cute cut-out skater dress. I wanted to be a bit different so I bought the yellow dress. The dress, as like all of Tres Blah's stuff, is simple and very well cut. I like the dress a lot and I can see using it for a lot of things and pairing it with items and and such to create so many different looks. Another great buy.  There is also a dress by Seul I liked. It looks like a simple cocktail dress, but the sides are open and have ties running across. The dress has a hud which is really easy to use to help match the skin tone of the dress with your skins. I had a little bit of difficulty at first because two tones work with my skin (I normally use Glam Affair Jamaica tone). I bought the black dress because I thought black would be very versatile. I have it paired with bright heels to give it that POP.  Also Baiastice has a dress that is cute, short, and has zippers down the front (easy access for those of you risque folks). And I really did like the new hair by Wasabi Pills at the event (convenient since those booths are close to each other). The hair is curly, not too big, and very fun looking.  Reminds me of Magika's Lemon hair I bought a while back.

The Truth hair for the round I don't know what to make of, but the new release Malea I love. I ended up buying the color pack to go with the outfit by Valentia I bought at Uber. I wanted to wear the teal or dark blue color to match the dress. I really like how the colors just pop.  I also bought the Zenith Romper for the event. I bought the floral print (of course). The cut is very short, but I like how flirty it looks.

Green Tea to Free Your Senses

Happy Easter everyone! I hope this past week as been amazing for everyone. I know it has been awesome for me. I feel like I am all caught up, finally, on everything.  Let's get started with this week's post. Go ahead and put on your kettle.

So Uber opened on March 25th, and it was driving me crazy right before hand....because I could NOT find out what the theme was for the month. And guess what? It is a freestyle round. So no theme. Now I did not go to the event right away, because when I was checking out the listings on Seraphim a lot of the stores/creators were MIA(at least there were a lot the first day Uber opened, the next day there were considerably fewer creators MIA). So I checked out the Uber website, and I saw a few of the items that were yet to be listed, but I wanted to wait a few days to give the creators time to set up their stalls. I normally teleport in as soon as I can, so this was very abnormal of me to wait on an event. I don't know if it was the long list of MIA (missing in action) on Seraphim or not... Either way, there are a few items when I did get in I felt compelled to buy, like the hair by Truth, an outfit by Zenith, and Erratic had an outfit that reminded me of a previous release by Zaara last spring. It is an open jacket with folded sleeves and a pant with the ankles folded. The folds have cute patterns and you have options between some really nice solids and a cute floral print(guess who got the floral).  Also there is a romper(everyone is really into the rompers right now) by Fishy Strawberry I bought, and it is really cute; I bought the sakura print to try to be a bit different, it is a darker blue with red petals. I like it, I really do....I just need to figure out how to pair it.... I am having some pairing difficulties with it. I need to figure out what I plan on doing with this romper.

There are a few outfits with tights I bought which I liked, but again, I need to work on putting the whole "look" together. Baiastice has a cute mini dress with tights(the tights have built in shoes which are like AWESOME).  There is another outfit with tights by ISON there, and there are shoes you can buy, which are really fun and very versatile. The top has a cool back (the top has Spider in the name if that gives you an idea for the back). The tights you can choose from are a marbled print, which I find fun and different. I bought the shoes to go with the outfit and the whole look together is a cute with an updo or with a fun short hair. I did buy a jewelry set by Mandala and I think I want to go back and buy other packs. They are big, bold, and beautiful; to me they look so exotic, and the great part is there is a set there which is unisex so both gentlemen and ladies can look fabulous. Valentina also has a GORGEOUS dress that is one shoulder and I bought the black one. To me it is the perfect little black dress. When I saw the pictures in the previews, I knew it was mine. Love, love, LOVE.

I crashed the first time I was at Uber, but I was able to get most of my shopping done that first go. But as you all know, every event is good until the last day(good to the last drop), and I have enjoyed teleporting in a few times to see if I missed anything. I bought some jewelry from Mandala, I bought two sets, the Princess Dogtags(they don't look anything like dogtags) and Prophecy. I love these sets, and right now, with some of my outfits, I am wearing all three pieces together....maybe it works, maybe it doesn't...but I feel regal so there.

FaMEHSed opened on Wednesday and while everything was of course of great quality, I was only interested in a few things. Mainly Zenith's mini dress (which I have paired with khaki shorts because it is REALLY MINI...like if it wasn't in the virtual world there would flashings every time I made a step short.) and a dress by Rebel Hope. There is a cute lounge outfit by Fishy Strawberry I bought to go with some converse sneakers I bought a week or two ago by FateSTEP (same creator as FatePLAY). Like I said, everything is of great quality, but nothing really jumped out at me this round.

Side Note: If you noticed, like all the pictures have Zaara's Head Jewel Nizam Tikka...that is because no matter what I did when I was changing for the pictures (and for some reason relogging didn't help me) the jewel would not come off..at all. So I figured that was a sign to just include it in all the pictures. So....Yay for Head Jewels! The one outfit it started with was Zenith Mimi...Then it just carried over to all the other outfits. So if you don't like the head jewel...put your finger over it. :P

Masala Chai and a Bohemian Blend

Hey everyone! I hope you all had a great Holi and a great weekend. I always feel like the weekends go by way too fast. But lately I feel like the work week has had a good steady pace, too.  Just a small FYI, I may be posting the next few Sundays late or early (I don't know which yet)--I will be going on vacation to recharge my batteries. I am going to try to convince Earth to do some guest blogging while I am gone.

Uber opened on the 24th (or was it the 25th.... I can't even remember) and the new theme is Bohemian. Let me just say, wow. First, I really like the hair by Truth Hawks this round (I normally do...); it is a large braid, and looks more like a twisted curl, in the back with options for flowers or butterflies to add in front and back. I can see myself wearing this hair a lot. I adore braids. Nylon Outfitters has a few items again at the event. I wasn't so interested in the clothes, I was really into the jewelry. I really like the turquoise and silver earrings and necklace. The necklace has got strands of turquoise layered on top of each other, and it is rather large, but not obnoxiously so. Currently I have it paired with an outfit I bought from Uber by League. It is a long sweater/skirt combo and has a cool leather belt. I, of course, bought the white/gray dress and the necklace and earrings pair so well. I really like the look. Very bohemian, and also very simple and subdued.

My FAVORITE thing at Uber this round is a skirt by CandyDoll. There are lots of different prints, and the skirt is very well fitted. I bought two different prints, an Aztec print (it looks more Moroccan than Aztec to me) and a large floral print.  I have this lacy crop top I bought a while back from Chapter Four by Ionic and it pairs perfectly with this skirt by CandyDoll (I am getting really proud of myself more and more for pairing separate pieces together. I used to be horrible at it). I had been planning on buying a skirt/crop top combo from Foxes this round, but unfortunately the top had some fringe (not a lot, but some). It is not very noticeable from afar, so I didn't really notice it in the preview pictures.

Now a bit of a side note:  I know I have mentioned this before, but I am not a fan of fringe. I don't know what it is, but to me it just makes an outfit look unfinished most of the time. I do realize a LOT of people like fringe; it is in style, and it is quite bohemian.... However.....I still don't like it. I know I am weird. Fringe just doesn't do it for me. I will admit there are some fringe items I like. And some people look fantastic in fringe... Like my Soul Sister, Kalia, she bought the outfit by Foxes and she looks GREAT in it. She was wearing it at The Woods on my Birth/Rez Day the week before and she looked amazing. She can pull off fringe. I look like a hobo (not even a stylish hobo chic....like the hobo living behind your house in the woods).

The Arcade opened up on Sunday, March 1st and I hate to admit this, but I spent the WHOLE day trying to teleport in...with no success--but this is usual with The Arcade. When I was finally able to get in,  I got almost everything I wanted from The Arcade. Not many outfits in this round, more accessories and home items. There is a "Arabian Nights" styled outfit set by Enfant which I feel in love with as soon as I saw the previews. There is a gamer girl outfit set by Birdy Foxes which was cute, and a Wonderland set by Pixicat. The big jewelry items I wanted was by Schadenfreude wee beastie rings and Nylon Outfitters(Yummy) Lucky Cat Necklaces. I was lucky enough to have gotten every thing I wanted from all the vendors, except one..... Of course there is only one. The hairs by Tableau Vivant and Exile are really pretty. Tableau Vivant's is large and not practical for everyday wear...but I like it so much. Exile's hair is very practical, very pretty, and the best part is you get two styles in one pack!

The sleeves of the dress go to the elbow and are bunched up, giving it a more "Real Life" look/feel. Also there is an outfit set by Lumiere--it is a sheer top and a patterned shorts. Both pieces are separate, so you can pick your combo. It is rather more expensive (it was about $500L together), but it does look really well. For the shirts there are three options, a full shirt, partial for an open jacket (that option goes with longer jackets not cropped) and a closed jacket option (again, also longer jackets). I think the shirt would look great with a cropped jacket, but the string in the back (which also happens to be one of my favorite parts of the shirt) doesn't go with the cropped jackets I have. I need to do some pairing with hair and jackets. Even without a jacket, it looks stunning and simple. Very Springy. I like it.

How About a Celestial Blend?

Happy Sunday everyone! I hope everyone has been safe and warm this past week, what with blizzards, chills, and just overall crazy weather...At least here in the United States. I know some of you are overseas, and I want you all to stay safe and warm, too! Go now; steep some breakfast blend and stay awhile.

Uber opened last Sunday, and as most of you know, the theme this month Celestial.  Not really so much with the Sunday Tea theme, BUT I am a huge Star Trek fan, and an overall nerd, so this theme was very fun for me. I ended up spending more than I originally thought, and bought some outfits I don't normally wear for myself.  When I think of Celestial, I think of space and time, of heaven, of stars, and, funny enough, Metaphysics. Don't ask why, it just does for some reason. My mind is a jumbled mess of crazy.

I bought two jumpsuits by Foxes, one in off-white and the other is a galaxy/star print. I don't normally wear jumpsuits, but when I was looking at the suits I just had to buy one, and then after a mishap with delivery (my fault, I have a click happy hand) I bought another.  Now, I bought the suit that has the sleeves, and has a deep V-cut...so quite a bit of cleavage, but as always with 99% of what I wear, it still tasteful.  I paired it with jewelry by Yummy which is also at the event.  The necklaces you can layer, and I also put on the short sun pendant by Schadenfreude which was available at Collabor88 last November for the Modern Alchemist round. The hair by Truth for this round is also a must have--a curly side pony with a braid and optional star berets.

Zenith has a sweater out which reminded me a bit of Star Trek: Into Darkness(there is a unisex jacket there by David Heather which reminded me exactly of Khan's coat from the beginning. I didn't buy it, but I do know someone who I am going to make buy it because he would look so dapper and just awesome in it). The sweater is kind-of-almost off the shoulder, and the end of the sleeves have a hud you can color change. There are some necklaces there to pair with it (and Maxi Gossamer has a cleaner cut necklace of a very similar style) but I did not purchase those. I have it paired with some leather leggings by Plastik called Shine. I bought them a long time ago, and the combo of the leather leggings and this sweater..well, I think it is perfect, but you can tell me if I am wrong.

The Jewelry by Yummy I preferred to the other jewelry there (it is also priced very well, very cheap in my opinion for a quality so high). There is also a dress by Seul which I purchased  I think it fits well (the alpha layer, on the back of the neck does not match up well with the dress--so if you wear a short hair, or any hair that reveals the back of your neck, at the top of the dress, you can see through your body...not awesome, but the dress is so pretty, longer hair won't hurt it at all).  There is a jacket you can buy separately, but I liked the dress by itself, and trust me, It is simple and gorgeous by itself.

Everything at Uber this round is running on the cheaper side, and my wallet thanks the designers for it.  Since Uber has opened, I have been at least 4 times. Again, the theme Celestial isn't quite Sunday Tea, but my inner nerd is so in love... so in love. Set some time, and some L$, aside this month and go check out Uber.
