How About a Celestial Blend?

Happy Sunday everyone! I hope everyone has been safe and warm this past week, what with blizzards, chills, and just overall crazy weather...At least here in the United States. I know some of you are overseas, and I want you all to stay safe and warm, too! Go now; steep some breakfast blend and stay awhile.

Uber opened last Sunday, and as most of you know, the theme this month Celestial.  Not really so much with the Sunday Tea theme, BUT I am a huge Star Trek fan, and an overall nerd, so this theme was very fun for me. I ended up spending more than I originally thought, and bought some outfits I don't normally wear for myself.  When I think of Celestial, I think of space and time, of heaven, of stars, and, funny enough, Metaphysics. Don't ask why, it just does for some reason. My mind is a jumbled mess of crazy.

I bought two jumpsuits by Foxes, one in off-white and the other is a galaxy/star print. I don't normally wear jumpsuits, but when I was looking at the suits I just had to buy one, and then after a mishap with delivery (my fault, I have a click happy hand) I bought another.  Now, I bought the suit that has the sleeves, and has a deep quite a bit of cleavage, but as always with 99% of what I wear, it still tasteful.  I paired it with jewelry by Yummy which is also at the event.  The necklaces you can layer, and I also put on the short sun pendant by Schadenfreude which was available at Collabor88 last November for the Modern Alchemist round. The hair by Truth for this round is also a must have--a curly side pony with a braid and optional star berets.

Jumpsuit: Foxes V-Neck Nebula @Uber, Hair: Truth Esther with Silver Clip @Uber, Necklaces: Yummy Celestial Necklaces Burst and Moon & Schandenfreude Short Sun , Bracelets: Earthstones Krishna, Earrings: Earthstones Tennis Amethyst and Diamond, Ring: Yummy Twinkling Star @Uber, Shoes: LaRoo Alison Pumps in Grey, Skin: Glam Affiar Amberyl II Jamaica with Romy Lipstick for Jamaica, Eyes: Redgrave Catgreen and Natural Lashes6, Slink Nails and Whatever Teeth

Zenith has a sweater out which reminded me a bit of Star Trek: Into Darkness(there is a unisex jacket there by David Heather which reminded me exactly of Khan's coat from the beginning. I didn't buy it, but I do know someone who I am going to make buy it because he would look so dapper and just awesome in it). The sweater is kind-of-almost off the shoulder, and the end of the sleeves have a hud you can color change. There are some necklaces there to pair with it (and Maxi Gossamer has a cleaner cut necklace of a very similar style) but I did not purchase those. I have it paired with some leather leggings by Plastik called Shine. I bought them a long time ago, and the combo of the leather leggings and this sweater..well, I think it is perfect, but you can tell me if I am wrong.

Sweater: Zenith Yuanyang Sleeve Sweater @Uber, Leggings: Plastik Galatea Legging in Shine, Jewelry: Yummy Celestial Necklace and Twinkling Star Earrings and Ring @Uber, Hair: Truth Esther with Silver Clip @Uber, Skin: Glam Affair December II Jamaica, Eyes: Redgrave Catgreen, Eyelashes: Redgrave Naturals, Slink Fingernails and Whatever Teeth
The Jewelry by Yummy I preferred to the other jewelry there (it is also priced very well, very cheap in my opinion for a quality so high). There is also a dress by Seul which I purchased  I think it fits well (the alpha layer, on the back of the neck does not match up well with the dress--so if you wear a short hair, or any hair that reveals the back of your neck, at the top of the dress, you can see through your body...not awesome, but the dress is so pretty, longer hair won't hurt it at all).  There is a jacket you can buy separately, but I liked the dress by itself, and trust me, It is simple and gorgeous by itself.

Dress: Seul Metallic Knit Dress @Uber, Hair: Truth Esther with Silver Clip @Uber, Jewelry: Earthstones Krishna Harmony Necklaces and bracelets, Earrings: Earthstones Tennis Earrings Amethyst and diamonds, shoes: LaRoo Khloe, Ring: Tea.s Starfleet Ring, Skin: Glam Affair Amberly II Jamaica, Eyes: Redgrave Catgreen, Eyelases: Redgrave Natural6
Everything at Uber this round is running on the cheaper side, and my wallet thanks the designers for it.  Since Uber has opened, I have been at least 4 times. Again, the theme Celestial isn't quite Sunday Tea, but my inner nerd is so in love... so in love. Set some time, and some L$, aside this month and go check out Uber.

Every Leaf and Every Spice for the Perfect Blend

As I mentioned last Sunday, The Liaison Collaborative, Genre, Kustom9, Kawaii Project, and The Secret Affair opened last week. (If I remember correctly all of these events opened on the 15th...don't quote me on it.)

Genre is celebrating a birthday this round, so the theme is Celebration. Lots of party items and some party dresses. I bought one dress from The Annex--it was a really pretty red striped dress. Once I put it on, I paired it with my leather jacket by Foxes. It looks great, but when I got off the stand, the back of the dress has a slit... Like a huge slit. It was way too racy for me, so I switched it for my Anti. There are some other dresses, and some pants there, but I like The Annex dress the best.

The Kawaii Project has some very nice skins from Glam Affair. More natural tones and such, I bought a few, but other than that, there were not any outfits that screamed at me. Moon Amore has a skirt and cardigan combo there. I have been going back and forth debating on whether or not I want to buy one or not. I am still not sure. It seems a bit too young looking for me.  For those of you who have teen looking avatars, this might be a cardigan/skirt combo for you.

Kustom9 didn't have any full outfits I had to have, but I did buy lots of separate pieces to make new outfits with pieces from other events. MAINLY for the skirt by Amiable I bought at Season's Story. Pixicat has a crop-sweater at Kustom9 that pairs fabulously with the tulle skirt from Amiable I bought. I was so excited when I saw the sweaters listed on Seraphim.  When I tried the demo, It matched perfectly. So BAM! New outfit that is gorgeous.  I also bought some more skins from Glam Affair, similar to the ones at The Kawaii Project, but it has colorful eye-shadows and lip glosses.

Sweater: Pixicate Crop Sweater Pastel @Kustom9, Skirt: Amiable Mixtulle Lace Skirt @Season's Story, Shoes: Gos Carrie Pumps Ivory, Hair: Truth Harmony ponytail, Watches: Sorgo So Watch WhiteGold @Creation.JP, Jewelry: Yummy Pearl Stud Earrings and Ice Ring Quartz, Eyes and Lashes: Redgrave Catgreen and Natural6, Slink Nails, Phone: O.M.E.N. For Her: Riviera Phone, Skin: Glam Affair Ellie @Kustom9, Bracelets: Noodles: Positivity Bangles @FaMESHed
The Secret Affair opened as well, and the theme this round is "Untamed Purity".  I like the theme--I like how the designers all have lots of whites and lots of simple and diverse designs. I don't know if I mentioned this before in a previous post, but my favorite color is white (and yes, I know it is technically a shade...not a color, but it is a color to me. If Crayola has a white crayon, it is a color).  The outfit I did buy was by Junbug. The ensemble is called The Innocent.  It is a gacha, but I really liked the style of the dresses (so spending quite a bit of Linden$ to get the dress was worth it). It is more of a period-piece, but the detail and the textures are wonderful (as usual).  It does come with a sort of "jacket" you can put over the dress to make it more conservative and to give it a more..... I wouldn't even call it modern; it changes up the look of the dress.

Last but not least is The Liaison Collaborative. I did not end up buying anything form TLC this round.  There is quite a bit of jewelry there this round. I might get a jewelry set by Izzie.  It has pearl strands and pearl flowers. It is simple, yet mesmerizing....Yea, I think I am going to break down and buy it. There weren't really and outfits or clothing pieces I had to have.  But the jewelry is very nice, not gaudy, not quite simple. Overall very pleasing, and when you wear it, I am sure it will add the perfect touch to any outfit.

As always, have a great day and week. Enjoy your cuppa. Hugs and Smooches!~

Tea and a Seasoned Storyteller

Happy Sunday.  I hope this week has been productive and wonderful for all of you.  Last weekend was crazy in regards to events.  So this past week has been quite the reprieve from teleport craziness.

Season's Story opened last Saturday, and I had to try to teleport most of the day to get in. Once I got in, after trying on and off most of the day, only five booths fully rezzed for me.  Luckly, of the five booths, three of them were the designers I wanted to purchase from.  FYI, there are more gachas at this event than I have seen before. Zenith has a gacha, and the dresses for it are cute and simple. For some reason Xylon Bigbear is on a chiffon kick. Recently a lot of chiffon dresses and skirts have been released from her; FaMESHed, Uber, Season's Story, Shiny Shabby, lots of chiffon. NOT COMPLAINING. I love the look of chiffon. So when I saw the dresses in the gachas, I was able to get lots of dresses in different colors and patterns, and one of the rare sweaters (I got the short sweater with owl bag).  The dresses of course pair really well with the sweater, and you can wear the dresses by themselves (they do look perfect for a luncheon or a brunch).

Outfit: Zenith Tiffany Chiffon Dress and Sweater Short Coat @Season's Story, Shoes: LaRoo Spencer Heels Nude, Bracelet and Necklace: Yummy Pearl & Diamond @Uber, Other bracelet: Noodles Positivity Bangles @FaMESHed, Hair: Olive Snow Princess Tea Stained, Skin: Glam Affiar Sia Skin Fairy Tales Jamaica @Collabor88, Eyes and Eyelashes: Redgrave Catgreen and Natural
There are some random items I also purchased at Season's Story, some sweaters, some leg warmers (for slink feet I do not have yet, but plan on getting in the future), a lace skirt, some Ugg-like boots, and a pair of leggings. Again, random items, and I haven't properly paired them with anything yet. They don't really fit the theme of the blog, but still nice. I did get a shirt/fur vest combo from Kitja.  It is my first purchase from this designer. I liked the combo together, I have yet to try the vest or the shirt separate, but I think I will be able to pair these items with other combo's in my inventory.

I did go to We <3 Role-Play a few days after it opened the week before last.  I did not see much that screamed had to have. There is a hair there I liked by Tableau Vivant, but I thought it would look better on a male avatar than a female. But I am not too into warrior-like hair.  There were not really any outfits or accessories that jumped out at me, but like always, I saw some items that would look great with friends and such. So go ahead and take a look.

Liaison Collaborative, Kustom9, Kawaii Project, Genre opened up this Thursday. I will put up a post with pictures and thoughts most likely next week! As always much love and enjoy your cuppa. Hugs and smooches~

Tea Parties with Unicorns and Dragons~ Oh My!

Happy Sunday Tea Readers! I hope this week has helped all of you get over your Holiday Hangover. I know I am over it, but now I think I have the flu. Nothing like bitter cold and people still into sharing this season (I would think germs don't like to be left out of the season of giving).  Here is this week's post. Enjoy~

Thursday Collabor88 opened, and the theme this month is OMG! Unicorns. I snorted and then cackled when I saw this on Facebook a while back, so I was really giddy to see what the designers thought up of when the event opened. I am actually surprised a lot of the items aren't as childlike as I thought they would be.

Outfit: The Secret Store Celestia skirt Pinkie Lacey Blouse @Collabor88, Jewelry: Maxi Gossamer Electra Unicorn Horn Earrings and Necklace @Collabor88, Hair: Magika Lemon, Headband: LaGyo Pastel Flowers Headband @Collabor88, Shoes: Gos Victoria Pink, Skin: Glam Affair Sia Skin Fairy Tales @Collabor88, Eyes: Redgrave Catgreen, Eyelashes: Redgrave Natural
I ended up spending too much Linden... There are some nice skins by Glam Affair, as usual. I didn't get the ones with the colorful eye shadows, but I might change my mind and buy at least one. One never hurt anyone right? Tableau Vivant has two hairs which are very similar to each other, Celestia and Cadance. Both I believe are named after the Alicorn Princesses in My Little Pony.  They are short, wavy, and Celestia has a braid.  I bought Celestia--not my style, but I do like to switch it up occasionally.  Tres Blah has a two piece combo, skirt and blouse, which are absolutely adorable.  To me it screams, "Grown ups love Unicorns". The skirt has a belt whose clasp has two unicorns facing each other. I bought the blue/pink sparkle skirt and white blouse.  Also, Atomic has a pack of dresses with a separate option for a cropped sweater.  You buy the pack, and it comes with a HUD to change the colors. Simple to use, and I like the look. Junbug is there as well as a guest designer, she has a boudoir corset and a gown out. I bought both. I like the gown better than the corset, but if I pair it right, I could possibly make it work. The corset comes with attached panties, so I can't remove the panties to pair with a skirt, but I am thinking the right jacket/sweater... Not Sunday Tea material, but lounge wear, yes please!

Outfit: Tres Blah Constance Blouse and Kinley Skirt @Collabor88, Jewelry: Maxi Gossamer Electra Unicorn Horn @Collabor88, Hair: Magika Lemon, Shoes: Gos Victoria Pink, Skin: Glam Affair Sia Skin Fairy Tales @Collabor88, Eyes: Redgrave Catgreen, Eyelashes: Redgrave Natural
Also Baiastice is there with a skirt and bra/blouse. The bra from the bra/blouse and the skirt go together, but the blouse does not. And on the item description it says it is a top/dress. I don't know about using it as a dress... I really did like bra and skirt combo. I think I just need a cute jacket to pair with it, and I would possibly wear that out shopping. It would be way more risque than I ever am, but I think I could pull it off (Is it bad I thought of the movie 13 Going on 30? Where Jenifer Garner is wearing the teddy to work with the jacket after she wakes up 30? Yea, I thought of that).

Outfit: Atomic Petal Dress Set 2 with Petal Jacket @Collabor88, Headband: LaGyo Pastel Flowers Headband, Earrings: Maxi Gossamer Electra Unicorn Horns, Hair: Magika Lemon, Shoes: Gos Victoria Pink, Skin: Glam Affair Sia Skin Fairy Tales @Collabor88, Eyes: Redgrave Catgreen, Eyelashes: Redgrave Natural
I don't want to overload everyone with info this week, because I did go to We <3 Role-Play and a few other smaller events this week.  I think I will save my musings for later due to illness and unicorns. Hugs and Smooches. Don't forget to enjoy your cuppa!

A big Thank You to Earth for posing with me for my Tea Party pictures.  Sometimes it is nice to have a dragon for a sister.

Earl Grey on a Winter Afternoon

I hope everyone had a fantastic and safe New Year.  I know I did; I may have had a bit too much champagne and saki, but it was New Years!

Uber opened on New Year's Eve, and this round's theme is Opulence.  For those of you who do not know what opulence means, opulence is wealth, riches, or affluence--the designers this round sure did keep with the theme.  Everything is elegant, almost over the top with gems, and the price range for a majority of the items is expensive.  The hair by Truth Hawks is similar to last month's hair; it is long, curly, AND it comes with a head jewel(head jewel has a separate color change hud so the jewel can match any outfit).  As usual the hair is at a slight discount since Truth is the main sponsor for the event.  Almost everything else expensive.  Zenith has a very pretty dress at the event and it is slightly more costly than her other items at similar events.  I love the style and the textures, I did not like how the dress is flat flat.... I still bought the dress, because like I said, I love the style, and the look. But the complete lack of chest is very new and odd to me.  I have the Truth hair paired with it, so the hair goes over the breasts, this way it is more difficult to tell it is in fact flat, but still...flat chested is not really a great look on me.

Dress: Zenith Rose Vintage Chiffon Dress @Uber, Jewelry: Yummy Diamond Chandelier Earrings, Pearl and Diamond Bracelet and Necklace @Uber, Hair: Truth Minerva with Jewelry @Uber, Lip Gloss: Mudskin YumYum Dark, Shoes: Tulip Studded Loafer Clay, Skin: Glam Affiar Artemis Jamaica, Eyes: Redgrave Catgreen, Eyelashes: Natural
Nylon Outfitters is a guest designer at Uber, and her Russian Princess dress is gorgeous and simple, and the price is reasonable--Nylon Outfitters always at Collabor88 (also does Yummy Jewelry) so her prices are always good.  I bought the black/gold long princess dress, slink nail appliers, and jewelry.  I also got the fur stole that goes with the dress, but somehow the stole doesn't look right in the chest area.  The dress goes over the front of the stole, and gives it an odd look.  I do like the whole look though. Very regal, very opulent, so this designer did an fantastic job sticking to theme.  Baiastice came out with a high-low dress for this event, which is expensive in price, 445$L (just FYI this is an almost normal type price for her elegant dresses and such, so for this designer, it is normal at well worth the Linden).  I bought the white, my twin Earth bought the purple. The colored dresses have a glitter back, and the neutral colors are plain on the back.  Both looks are very rich in style. I love the gold built in belt. For something so simple, it adds so much.

Due to prices this round, I wasn't able to buy everything I wanted right when it opened.  There is a dress/fur shawl combo by Foxes, and Tres Blah has a glitter skirt and halter top combo there as well.  both Foxes and Tres Blah, for their combos you buy the pieces separately, and both pieces add up to +400$L, so I will be buying them at a later date.

Dress: Baiastice Mida Dress @Uber, Jewelry: Ymmy Diamond Chandelier Earrings, Pearl and Diamond Necklace @Uber and Ice Ring Quartz and Gold @Collabor88, Hair: Truth Harmony Bun, Skin: Glam Affair AngelicaV2 Jamaica, Eyes: Redgrave Catgreen , Eyelashes: Natural
FaMESHed opened on the 1st, and this round has a few nice pieces.  I bought the sweater chiffon skirt dress by Zenith. I also bought the scarf she made to go with the dress. The completed outfit looks well put together, and has an element of fun, I think.  Also, I haven't been much of a fan of the store Noodles, but at FaMESHed this month the designer has bracelets that come in packs of three. Each bracelet says something positive.  I bought two packs, both packs I felt had a connection to me and my optimistic thoughts and feelings towards life.  I wish I could re-size them-- I went to make them larger, but I didn't see a script on the contents, and the hud only changes color. Someone on Seraphim stated they were re-sizable, so I will have to go back to FaMESHed and look at the stall.  Maybe I am just having a brain fart over it.  I am going to have to mess with them.  I like the bracelets and for one set it is 250$L... So I did drop a bit of Linden to get these two packs, but for me they were worth it, and they still are, I just need to re-size them!

Dress: Zenith Cream Sweater with Chiffon Dress @FaMESHed, Scarf: Zenith Sweater Scarf @FaMESHed, Hair: Truth Harmony Bun, Shoes: Gos Carrie Pumps in Ivory, Earrrings: Yummy Pearl Studs @Uber, Skin: Glam Affair Angelica V2 Jamaica, Eyelashes: Redgrave Natural, Eyes: Redgrave Catgreen, Ring: Yummy Ice Ring Quartz Gold@ Collabor88
I went to an event I had not heard of before, and I am glad I now know about it...or maybe I have heard of it, and just never really thought about it.... Oneword. Oneword is a bimonthly event where it's members vote for a word, and the word with the highest vote is the theme for the next round.  This round's theme is Dream.  I didn't buy any outfits at this event, but I did buy some poses and a chair that looks dreamy and the poses are quite nice.  The prices were very reasonable, and if you join the group, there are quite a few free gifts at the front of the event on the shelves which are nice. Not huge, but nice little gifts.  I hadn't heard of this event before, and I am glad I know of it now.  I joined the group, and it will be nice to see what future words inspire the designers.

Since the Holiday Season is almost over, I am looking forward to the Chinese New Year in February (February 19th for those of you who don't follow).  So Happy New Year everyone, and I hope all of you have a prosperous and happy year!
