Happy Sunday Tea Readers! I know, long time no post. Lots have been going on with my life and some changes in Second Life. Not too much has been missed, Collabor88 opened on March 8th, and the theme is "A Touch of Green". It is a very lovely round.
My favorite release at the event is of course by Zaara Kohime. She has released these really cute layered blouses, Ruhi, and patchwork shorts, Mahi. Each piece is 188L, or you can buy the fatpack for 888L (888L for the blouse fatpack and 888L for the shorts fatpack). I bought the fatpacks, because I love the hand-drawn designs and patterns--it is so easy to mix and match. Ruhi and Mahi are both exclusively made to fit the Maitreya Lara Mesh Body--so demo before you buy.
The Secret Store also has a really pretty lacy tank top and lacy shorts for this round. I know the color for the round is "green", but I went for white and red. The shorts come with a hud you can use to turn on and off the lace. I bought the white shorts, and while the white lace is is there you have to look hard to see it. It's okay for me, it just adds a bit if detail. Yummy has a cute bloom jewelry set available which I thought paired well with The Secret Store's set.
Maxi Gossamer has released a really cute set called Karina Karina Daydreamer. The "stones" on the necklace and earrings are more shell-like, and there is an option to change the texture colors. I like the blue option, because it reminds me most of mother-of-pearl. For the blog I am wearing the ISON long sleeved romper, which is another Collabor88 release. I really like this mint color for the romper. It adds some green, but nothing too strong, and perfect for the freshness of spring--PLUS the Maxi Gossamer set pairs really well.
Not much to add for now, I hope to bring you more next week. Just some FYIs: Uber has another freestyle round, some nice items if you want to check it out; FaMESHed has been open since the start of the month, and there are a few cute accessories and single pieces, you should check it out as well. Again, sorry for such a long wait on a new post. I hope everyone has a happy Sunday. Hugs and Smooches Tea Readers.

After a Workout Have Green or Black Tea
Happy Friday! I am posting this week's post early, because I will be out of town this weekend running in a marathon, and I won't be home until late Sunday evening. Wish me luck everyone!
The Arcade opened at the beginning of the month, and I was lucky enough to get to the event in a relatively decent time. And on top of the luck of getting in rather quickly, I was also lucky in all the gachas I played! I was able to get every item I wanted without going broke!!! How often does that happen?! My favorite gacha this round doesn't have anything to do with fashion, but all to do with foxes. The Secret Store has a gacha with all these cute fox friends. They come in two different colors, White, and the rares are holdable pets! I love them! I have both colors of the rares, and I can't pick a favorite. Fawny has a pretty sweater gacha that comes with reindeer decor and attachable pets as well. Moon Amore has a really pretty dress out for the event and the shoes in the gacha are really cool--they have Christmas trees on the back of the heel, very flirty and fun.
Collabor88 opened on Tuesday and again, like with a lot of Collabor88 rounds....I almost went broke. All the Linden$ I saved from being lucky at the Arcade went to this round. Nordic Winter is the theme, and there are lots of sweater, fun hairs and scarves and hats. Zaara is at this round!!! And she has an updated mesh version of her pashmina scarves. I bought two so far.... so far.... Don't be surprised if you see me there again buying more... I maybe should of bought the fatpack...but we will wait and see.... The scarves textures have been hand painted by Zaara Kohime and are so gorgeous. They are worth the Linden (288L$), even if you only buy one.
Pixicat has a fun coat available at the event, and it looks to me like a Navy Peacoat. The coat is called Stockholm--it comes with a sweater and an optional dress add on for it. I prefer the sweater so far. I detoured from my normal color choices and chose to purchase the gray coat. I love the coat paired with the scarf from Zaara. The scarf splashes color into the outfit, and to me it brings it to life.
There are two dresses I bought at the event, one by ISON and the other by Foxes. Both are more cocktail appropriate, but depending on how you pair it, you could make it more casual. The Foxes dress is a sweater dress which has an opened deep cut back. It comes with a long necklace for the back--very simple and elegant in my opinion. The only issue I can see people having with this dress... It is made to fit Mesh Bodies. If you do not own a Maitreya, SLink, or Bellza Mesh body, this dress will not work for you. It does NOT come in standard sizes for the default avatar. It also does not come with an alpha (since the mesh bodies come with an alpha hud).So buyer beware. Again, ALWAYS TRY DEMOS!
The ISON dress is default avatar and mesh body compatible. AND!!! You can buy the sweater also sold at the event, and wear the sweater with the dress. I ADORE this dress. It reminds me of a dress Emmy Rossum wore in her music video for "Slow Me Down". I love this dress. I like the sweater option, I really do...but this dress...... I love it. It is probably my new favorite. I won't lie.
I will stop there for tonight. I don't want to overwhelm too much. I would recommend checking out The Secret Store's sweater and pant, also Moon Amore has a fun sweater as well at Collabor88 worth looking at. Lots of Hairs and fun skins as well at this round. Go check it out whenever you have the time and the spare Linden$. Hugs and Smooches Tea Readers!!!!

Start Blending Your Spices for the Perfect Chai
Happy Sunday! I hope this weekend has been awesome for everyone. This week has been crazy busy, but lots of fun! I have spent this whole weekend with my college besties. I haven't been online much this week, but I have been to Shiny Shabby. Go ahead and have a cuppa and enjoy this week's fashion picks.
Shiny Shabby opened on Tuesday, and I was so excited to see quite a lot of outfits and items I liked. I ended up making a list and planning my shopping out; I have noticed I have been planning out my Second Life shopping a lot lately. It makes keeping myself on a budget easier, and then I can save lots more money this way.
Moon Amore has a COOL coat for the autumn. I love the windblown look, and it goes so perfectly with an editorial hair I got at The Arcade (The Arcade's last day is Wednesday September 30). It reminds me of taking evening walks around the woods and fields around my family's home and the wind gusts blowing through my hair. I LOVE LOVE LOVE it.
GizzA has a fun shirt and shorts set. You can choose between colors they come in color combo packs. You still have to buy the shirts and shorts separate from each other. I love the tucked-in shirt. It just looks so laid-back and comfy. Zenith also has a fun dress out for this round. It is a really pretty simple long dress with sleeves that scrunch up at the elbow. It comes in very neutral colors, different shades of brown and white. There aren't any pinks or blues or blacks.
The dress by Valentina is really pretty and elegant looking. It really does look like cashmere and makes me want to pull out my cashmere sweaters for the Autumn. The pearls scattered around the skirt make the outfit flirtatious... in my opinion. And come on, who doesn't like to be a little flirty in the Fall? It is starting to get colder, people are starting to add on layers and the leaves are changing colors. The air is getting crisp and people are starting bonfires and hay rides....Lots of opportunities to cuddle up next to someone special or spend extra time with your loved ones. Love it.
Well, I hope everyone enjoys the rest of their weekend, and I hope the start of Autumn has been wonderful. Hugs and Smooches my Tea Readers!!!!

Oolong Tea with S'mores on Warm Summer Nights
Yay for Sundays! I hope everyone has had a wonderful week! Today is the last day of my only "normal" weekend for the month, so I plan on enjoying myself as much as possible. The next few weekends I will be working extra days.
The theme for Shiny Shabby this month is Country. I have recently mentioned in my post on Uber's Rustic theme country is not my thing. With my family's background you would think I would be a good ol' country girl... I am an oddity. Anyway, the theme is Country, and again, I curbed my spending and only bought a few things at Shiny Shabby. I bought a denim top and lace skirt by COCO, and I bought a long shirt/dress by Zenith. I think I like the outfit by COCO better, just because I love lace. The skirt is very nice and I know I will be able to pair it with multiple shirts and outfits. The denim top is nice, but I know I will the skirt will be the real versatile. You buy the shirt and skirt separate, so you can pick your colors (which is always awesome). The Zenith dress is long and I think my favorite detail is the small leather belt around the waist. There are some cute wicker-basket handbags to match, but I didn't feel like they were needed for the outfit. Just put on a cute hat and you are good to go for a day walking around town.
FaMESHed opened on the first, and I was so surprised to see Zaara there!!! She has a new swimsuit out, and the prints are all fantastic. It was really hard for me to pick out one, and I think I will end up breaking down and buying the fatpack. So amazing. The suit comes in standard mesh sizes and one fitted for Maitreya's Lara Mesh Body. She has also updated past mesh swimsuits to fit the Lara Mesh Body. Zenith also has a cute ruffle dress. It reminds me of a mix between a toga and a maxi dress. I also couldn't pick out a color, so I went with white (my good ol' stand by).
I hope you all have a wonderful Sunday and a great week! Thanks for reading this week's post, and remember to have fun! Hugs and Smooches~

Mermaids Must Have a Kelp-y Brew
Happy Sunday my Tea Readers! This past week has been crazy busy again for me. On a positive note, I didn't work yesterday. I like working on Saturdays because it is quiet and I get a lot of work done. However, it stinks having only a day off ,then going back to work on Monday. Good news, I still have done a lot this past week, including getting this week's post done.~
Okay, this summer's theme is appearing to be mermaids, because mermaids is the theme for Collabor88, Season's Story's backdrop is some mermaid ruins, and later this summer Enchantment will start and the story theme is The Little Mermaid. So yea, this summer is very "under the sea". As a marine biologist I adore the sea and all sea-life. If I could have one wish it would be to become a mermaid. I just love the idea of swimming around all day, looking at all the life under the water and playing with fish and cetaceans, even some of the perils of underwater life don't really phase me. I think I would make an awesome mermaid.
When I saw the theme for Collabor88 last month was chosen for "Under the Sea", I was immediately excited(like when they picked the "Into the Light" and "OMG! Unicorns"). Lots of light blues and purples for this event, and LOTS and LOTS of mermaid stuff--from sea shells to fish scales! I bought the blue ombre tank top by ISON with matching silver fish scale leggings--it is one of the more conservative looks from the event. Baiastice has a really pretty evening gown at the event, and a cute shell bra which is compatible with the dress. Foxes has two dress at the event and I had to be different and buy the blue/purple dress because it just looks so good! My favorite dress buy from the event has to be by Fashionably Dead. This blue dress is a high-lo and has "scales". When I went to the Hair Fair last Saturday evening this tentacled hair by Ohmai looks perfect with it(at least to me it does).
The Hair Fair is an annual event which doubles as a fundraiser for "Wigs for Kids". Each vendor has a certain percentage of their profits going towards the "Wigs for Kids" charity. The event opened last Saturday, and this year I went to the event so prepared! I don't think I have EVER planned out my shopping this intense before. I did all my normal research, Strawberry Singh was kind enough in one of her blog posts to link the Eloquence Blog which has pictures, prices, and locations for each vendor. So what did I do Saturday morning when I had a break at work? I looked at the hairs, and wrote the vendors and the locations for all the hairs I wanted. When I eventually logged on to Second Life in the evening I teleported into the Blonde Sim, and did area searches for all the hairs on my "Blonde" list. I did the same for Brunette, Redhead, and Noirette. I didn't teleport to the other sims, I tried to walk or fly into the other sims. Thanks to whoever made the decision to allow fly! It helped with getting around and fighting lag. I was vastly surprised when I only spend about an hour (maybe a bit longer, but definitely not an hour and a half) getting into the event and doing all my shopping. Last year when I went I was at the Hair Fair for 2+ hours, which lead me to prepare and plan everything.
Season's Story opened last Friday, and I didn't get as buy crazy as I did at the other events. The sim is gorgeous, it all looks like mermaid ruins, and who doesn't like to shop and fun places? I spent a bit of linden "playing" the Zenith gacha. I really wanted a bodysuit/swimsuit which is the rare item. I also played another gacha by SWaGGa for some flippers. I recently bought a wet suit by Meli Imako and the flippers match so well!! Now I can go snorkeling and adventuring underwater in Second Life while not being a mermaid... Who am I kidding, I will still be a mermaid~ I didn't really buy much else at Season's Story. I think after this past weekend I am all shopped out.
Long post for today. There are lots of other great items at Season's Story, but nothing really big that I felt I needed to share. I will be sure to put more items and such from these events in upcoming posts. Happy Sunday everyone! Enjoy your cuppa and the rest of your weekend.

Turkish Tea by the Sea
Happy Sunday everyone! I hope this week has been fun and exciting for you all! Man, the summer just really officially started and I feel like I am running a mile a minute. But I would rather keep busy then have nothing going on. On with this week's post~
So last year, I went to an event called The Summerfest, and I don't know if it was the first event or if it has been an established annual event. This year when it opened I was quite excited because I enjoy summer/nautical things. When I first went last year it was super easy to get in and there was no lag, but when I went the event had already been open a while. This time I went opening day and there was a lot of lag. Despite the lag the set up is fun and so beachy--it made me want to lay out or play in a pool. There are lots of home items, accessories, and clothing at this event. I only bought outfits when I went the first time because I was a woman on a mission. The lag was horrible so I had to use area search to find the items I saw listed on Seraphim. I plan on going back to look at home items for my new place since it is a beach set up.
There are only a few outfits I bought, I bought two dresses by Pixicat which come with a hud to do a solid color or a tropical print (I bought the white dresses because with and without the print it looks gorgeous). I also bought a swimsuit/cover/hat set by Valentina. The kimono overlay/cover is pretty, but kind of "thick" looking... Like it reminds me of a thick robe, not really a light swimsuit cover. Overall though, it is a fun relaxing look with the hat included (or you can buy each piece separately). Glam Affair also has a bikini out--it is very simple and I like the cut. There are a lot of swimsuits/ bikinis and such at the event, so if you don't have one.......You need to get one.
Now, time for me to do an embarrassing admission.... I bought a gorgeous one piece swimsuit and coverall by Maitreya. The swimsuit is very sexy and classy, and the cover-up comes with two options (see through and solid). You want to know the embarrassing part...... The set is specifically for the Maitreya Mesh Body; it does not work with the system body. So guess who has to buy the body to wear the outfit? This girl~ I knew I would have to break down and buy a body. This just gives me extra ammunition to buy one. I have The Mesh Project's free mesh body for nude shoots, but I think I will now definitely have to break down and buy Maitreya's body.
Okay, so Shiny Shabby also opened on Saturday and I didn't end up buying a lot from the event. I only bought an outfit by GizzA. It is a tank-top and trouser set that looks very relaxed and almost loungey. I saw the preview on Facebook for it, and I ended up getting the white set (it is my favorite color). It pairs really well with some color, so I have a Labradorite ring, some Aquamarine jewelry from Zaara, and some blue high heels with it. It is very subtle and I think it adds a lot of sophistication for a lounge set.
Some other events opened up over the weekend and this past week, but I will go into more depth next week...I have to keep you interested somehow~ I hope you all have a great week and enjoy your Sunday my lovely Tea Readers. Go have a cuppa.

Your Dad's Best Long Island Ice Tea!
Happy Sunday! Father's Day is today in the United States, and I will be spending the day with my family and pestering my father (my favorite thing to do). I haven't really been shopping too much this week. I recently rented a place, in Second Life, with Earth and Kalia (my real life twin and my soul sister). I have been decorating, landscaping, and gardening like crazy for our new place--but I have gone to Kustom9 and The Kawaii Project.
Kustom9 and The Kawaii Project opened on Monday. The big thing for me at both events were hairs. I bought a hair by Tableau Vivant and Due at Kustom 9, and at The Kawaii Project I bought one of the hair's by Olive. All three styles are long, and very ready for summer. The only outfit I bought was by Zenith located at Kustom9. It was a gacha, and it is a cute summer dress that is about knee length. There are also come cute handbags in the gacha. I didn't want any of the rare side body handbags, but the common handbags are cute and come with a built in scarf. It's perfect for the casual summer outing on the boardwalk.
I know this week's post is very short, but the Liaison Collaborative is taking a summer hiatus and won't be back for three months. Yet, I have been busy getting my new little home set up. I plan on taking a few blog photos there so everyone can see parts of it! Happy Father's day to all you Dads out there. If you aren't a father, call your dad or someone who you love and appreciate for all the things they have done for you. Thank them for being amazing. Hugs and Smooches everyone~

A Cup of Assam to Go With Your Cake
Happy Sunday~ This afternoon I will be entering in the Usernames into the random site generator to pick the winner for the bundle of gift cards. Thanks to those of you who entered and there is still time to enter. I will entering the Usernames around 10 SLT, so 1 EST. All you have to do is go the my post from Thursday, enter in your Second Life Username and tell me your favorite post from this past year. The Bundle has: 1 500L$ gift card to Truth Hair, 1 600L$ Maxi Gossamer Jewelry, 1 900L$ Gos Shoe Boutique. That's 2000L$ worth of accessories! Okay, I am done with the prize stuff, onto what you really want, FaMESHed, .
FaMESHed is having their Third Birthday (so many milestones this month) and they are celebrating big. There are about double the creators there, and almost every creator has a free gift for the event. All are amazing. To get the gifts you have to wear the FaMESHed group tag and then click on the blue present box. There is a theme this round and it is very Beachy! And we all know how much I love beachy and nautical. First of all, the set up is massive compared to normal. Forget the city street stalls, this is like walking on a boardwalk. the apparel and accessories are all along the outside with home and garden decor in the center. Really nice set up and so easy to navigate (Plus the look is so fun and different. I really enjoyed the shopping atmosphere there).
My favorite buy from the event is probably a maxi-type dress by Valentina. Valentina has two different styled dresses at the event, one of them is one shoulder and had some sort of asymmetrical skirt which makes it kind of flirty--at least I think it looks flirty. The other one, the maxi-type, the dress poofs out and there are these thick vertical lines going down. I bought the teal stripped dress and I just LOVE. It is so my style. One, it reminds me of the beach. Two, it looks very elegant and looks like something you would wear to a yacht or sailing club. And third, this dress has a poof...who doesn't like Poof?! I have been wearing it since I bought it. Zenith has a cute strapless dress with a cage/origami crane accessory that is fun. So of course I had to buy it. The only other outfit I have worn besides this dress is a jumpsuit by Fishy Strawberry which is also at FaMEShed. The jumpsuit is called Anniversario and it reminds me of something a Bond Girl would wear. For me the one thing that stands out the most isn't the cut of the suit, but the HUGE bell bottoms! Now when I say huge I don't mean like massive, but they are definitely bell bottoms, and I am a sucker for bell bottoms.
Another event Birthday is We <3 Role-Play. They are celebrating their 2nd Birthday. So many Birthday's this month. I was looking at the previews on The Blogging Elf's site and while I don't blog much about We <3 Role-Play (it doesn't always fit with Sunday Tea), I do go to the event every month and I do buy a LOT of stuff from poses to dresses to hairs to home items. I love Fantasy and I do enjoy some Role-Play (who doesn't?). I only bought one full outfit by Enfant Terrible. It is very risque--the top and the bottom are non-rigged mesh and you can easily size it to fit your avatar. It took me like two minutes to get both to fit my shape, so easy. I bought some hairs by Tableau Vivant which I think are gorgeous. There are also lots of free of gifts and 10L$ items(I can't call them gifts if they aren't free). All you have to do is wear your We <3 Role-Play tag and click/buy.
The Chapter Four is also having a birthday (May is the month for birthdays I guess). I only bought one outfit by Kitja, it is very causal and I have been wearing it clubbing a bit. There are some cool accessories at the event as well, but I didn't go too crazy. Normally Glam Affair has skins at the event, but this round they have home items in a gacha. If I were you, I would teleport over to look at all the items there. Lots of fun little stuff you can buy to complete or start an outfit or a home project.
So overall, May is the month for birthdays! Get your group tags on and teleport over to the events. Get some free gifts and do some fabulous shopping! Hugs and Smooches my Tea Readers~~~

Russian Caravan with Cream Please
Hello my Tea Readers! I hope this week has been awesome. I have had a crazy weather week...and the weekend decided to have a down pour so I am just staying in with the windows opened a little to let in the fresh rain scent. And as you probably guessed, I am having a cuppa.
This week's post is about Shiny Shabby, which opened on Monday with a Russian theme. I know I got excited, and it wasn't about the fashion so much as it was for this really really REALLY pretty Russian tea set by 8f8. You can buy the individual pieces, but I would recommend buying the whole set because it comes with an extra silver/white set for free (two for the price of one is always a good bargain). Once I bought the tea set I went exploring around and let me tell you, the colors and the patterns....just wow. I would of never thought there would be so much color and variety, but it makes sense...Russia covers two continents and like has 11 time zones.
I really liked this dress by EClipse Design... It is just a really gorgeous detailed jacket with a simple white dress under it. It isn't long, and it isn't short. I just really like the way it looks and the fit. I have it paired with a vintage jewelry set from EarthStones and a violin I won from Zenith at the event. Zenith's gacha has home pieces (side tables and frames) as the commons, and a dress as rare-I suspect the dress is an Ultra Rare because I won the two other rares multiple times before I even got to the dress. The dress is a pale pink, simple, and a period piece. It says it is Nineteenth century, and I can totally see it in the cut and style of the dress. Let me just say I spent a TON of Linden$ trying to win this dress, and it is so worth every single one. And I think the surprise piece which I knew I would like, but didn't think I would get as much use out of it as I have, is the violin. It is one of the rares, and surprisingly it can go with any outfit. I have it paired with my outfit EClipse and let me tell you...well you can see it! It looks awesome.
I bought some shoes at the event by Essenz; the gems on the sandals are really big and stand out and are just awesome. And I think I have heard or read somewhere Russian gemstones are of a great quality and their emeralds are really popular....but I would have to double check. And before I go an a tangent about gems, Breathe has a dress at Shiny Shabby which reminds me of a classic tea dress. There are lots of color combinations and she even has some floral prints. There is also a dress by GizzA, which has lots of floral print options, but for some reason this dress just didn't do it for me. I like the cut but I think the patterns kind of throw me. I don't know if it is because it reminds me of upholstery fabric or if it is just the colors. And this surprises me, since I LOVE floral prints. I don't know...maybe it is the combination of the dress cut and the floral print. Maybe if the cut was different, or the print was different...
Overall, this event is a must. Just for the colors and patterns and I think you can see how much variety there is to Russian Culture. I hope the rest of your weekend is as relaxing as mine. Hugs and Smooches~

Fruit Tea and a Seasoned Storyteller
It's another great Sunday everyone! I had one awesome week this week and I am so excited to get this next week started with another fun post. I hope everyone has had a chance to check out Season's Story-if not you will find out all about it today!
Season's Story opened last Thursday and it took forever to get in(as is tradition). When I was finally able to get in the set up was like a fairy tale. There is a tree in the center, and located under the tree is a group gift for this round, so make sure to join the group and wear the tag(joining is free). Zenith has a cute short spring dress gacha out. The commons are sold print bustier dresses, necklaces, and bags. The Rares are floral print bustier dresses(includes a bag) and a cute floral rattan hat. I won lots of the commons and one each of the rares. So putting together the outfits was really fun. I also bought the outfit by Enfant Terrible. It is a cute whimsical dress with a pearl top option, and you can buy a pearl headband with it. I, of course, bought the whole outfit. The dress is longer than what I am used to with Enfant Terrible, and the final look is just stunning. I think my two favorite buys are Zenith and Enfant Terrible.
The good thing about Zenith and Enfant Terrible are both vendors are close together and are right by the landing point. D!va is also at the landing point and the floral hair with the side bun is my favorite! It looks the most natural with strays going everywhere and the way it is styled and with the flowers...I just love it. Apparently you can click the hair and pick which flowers show and such....I have all the flowers showing. I doubt I will ever use the that option. I didn't really buy much else from the other vendors. There is a long stocking I liked which looks like the sky, but it has taken me a while to pick out which sky I liked the best. The rest of the vendors had nice stuff, but to me it was either too boxy, too much denim, or too....juvenile isn't the right word for it....too youthful for my taste.
On Wednesday Kustom9 and The Liaison Collaborative opened and let me tell you....both rounds are wonderful. I thought at first I wouldn't have enough Linden$. At Kustom9 Zenith has a loose shirt/skirt outfit which reminds me of a graduate student's outfit if they were going out for a nice dinner after a few hours of studying at the library. Tableau Vivant has a cool new hair called Foxtrot which I love. It is thick, it is curly, and it is so pretty!! Now apparently it is a hair which is mostly for editorials(pictures and such) so the creators recommend you try the demo to make sure it works with your AO and such if you are going to wear it out. I, also, recommend you try the demo. BUT....I love the hair and it looks fantastic with my AO. So please try the demo first. There is also a cute casual outfit by MotiAme which I find adorable. just like last months. A cute sheer overlay skirt with a simple collared blouse. Again, simple and gorgeous.
At the Liaison Collaborative Lumiere Apparel has a dress which reminds me of a Stepford wife. Very 1950s-60s. I also bought a pair of shoes by random matter which match the dress, I think flawlessly. Earthstones also has a set of bangles out which are really nice. They are called Katya and are simple, and have such tiny details....just wonderful really. Fishy Strawberry has a cool outfit, which for some reason when I putting together the look, reminded me of Kore. I have mentioned in earlier posts that I love the story of Persephone and Hades, and this look...it just looks to me like a modern day Kore (i.e. Persephone before her abduction by Hades into the underworld). I just....Love.
I know... My posts just keep getting longer and longer. I promise I am done for now. I can hardly wait to share with you all next week. Hugs and Smooches~

For a Sweeter Tea Try a Fruity Blend
Happy Sunday everyone! I hope this past week has been good for all of you. I know I have been trudging through, rain and all. But you know what they say, "April showers bring May flowers". So here's to hoping we have lots of pretty flowers next month!
Collabor88 opened on Wednesday with the theme Pretty in Punk. I was skeptical at first. I liked the color scheme, but I am not a huge fan of skulls (excluding sugar skulls and La Calavera Catrina). Again, like fringe, not really for me, but on other people I think it looks completely B-A. In Real Life I am uncomfortable in punk clothes, and if you are uncomfortable in your clothes, you don't look confident and if you don't look confident you are really missing something in your look. You ALWAYS want to wear something you are confident in. This doesn't always happen, but it is good to always try to be comfortable and confident. So, back to Collabor88, the designers really punk rocked it out this time. Yes, there are lots of skulls and punk elements so they really did keep with the theme. It was a bit of a challenge for me to pick things out to buy and think about how to pair and make some cute outfits, but I think I managed just fine. The great thing is the designers made it...neutral isn't even a good word for it....universal enough so if you aren't much of a punk rocker you can still buy something to create a real edgy look.
Erratic is there and has some loose tanks and some really cool leggings (they come for system layers and also there are appliers if you have a mesh body). I bought the star print leggings because it is very celestial (it also reminds me of the body suit I bought a while back at Uber by Foxes). The loose tanks either have something on the front or are plan (depending on the one you buy) and a skull cut-out in the back. Glam Affair has a cute dress and leggings; the dress I bought has a lavender pattern and I have it paired with some lavender boots I found in my inventory by KoKo (I have been trying to pair it with items to make it look more edgy...not really working at this point). ISON has a cool dress that looks like a twist at on the boyfriend shirt. Baiastice also has a cool three-piece set out which just reminds me of a more risqué female three-piece suit. I was surprised to see lots of union jack prints along with the skulls, a huge plus for me! I was a little worried at first because like I mentioned earlier, I am not much of a punk rocker chick. I was surprised and excited to see the creations. I still didn't go very crazy at Collabor88 as I usually do, but I did buy some awesome stuff (I did buy more skins by Glam Affair-they had some more Katra skins and I love this new skin).
And guess what opened on Friday....Seasons' Story!!! OMG! So exciting. I will be posting about Season's Story next Sunday to give me more time to get to the event and mess around with the outfits. Much Love Tea Readers. Hugs and Smooches~

A Killer Blend on a Moonless Night
Happy Sunday everyone! As you all know I am on vacation this week and won't be back home until next Sunday. So hopefully, as you read this post I will be sitting on a dock fishing, reading, and drinking some iced tea.
This month's theme for Collabor88 is Moonless Night, I thought it would be a Romantic and Mysterious round...more Mysterious than anything. What do we all do when the Sun is down and the Moon is hidden? What do you do when the stars are your only witnesses? Personally, I don't have anything to hide (at least I think I don't, I am a pretty open book). I was really surprised with what everyone came up with for the theme. Apparently Moonless Night can be more interpreted as a theme towards the old TV show Twin Peaks. I am not familiar with Twin Peaks at all, so I had to do some light research into it. Basic overview, Murder happens in the small mountain town of Twin Peaks, Washington. Sexy FBI guy (same actor as Charlotte's ex-husband Trey from Sex in the City) comes to town to solve the murder. That sums up what I got from my research. So a few of the items and references made with the items I unfortunately don't understand. I was thinking it was going to be more towards romance, murder, and just plain mystery. But I guess Twin Peaks encompasses that...just not what I was expecting. I wish I got the references and hype on it.
Overall, quite a few Twin Peaks references with the outfits. Like Nylon Outfitters/Yummy has some Letterman Jackets and accessories with references to the show. There is a pretty Angora sweater by Tres Blah this round--there is a pencil skirt you can buy to go with it, but I wasn't a fan of the skirt. I also bought a denim skirt by Bueno, and both sweater and skirt do go well together. I also bought the outfit by ISON for this round. The dress has leather straps around the waist and arms, and it does remind me of a gun holster law enforcement would use. I also bought lots of shoes at this event. I couldn't help myself. And I normally don't fall for shoes in Second Life--Real Life is a whole different story.
Compared to last week, this post is super short. I hope you all have enjoyed this week's post. I promise to spare a moment and think of you while I am soaking up some Vitamin D. Earth will have a Fashion Flashback for you lovelies next Sunday for the day I get back. I have a feeling it is going to be a very wonderful post. Lots of Hugs and Smooches~

Masala Chai and a Bohemian Blend
Hey everyone! I hope you all had a great Holi and a great weekend. I always feel like the weekends go by way too fast. But lately I feel like the work week has had a good steady pace, too. Just a small FYI, I may be posting the next few Sundays late or early (I don't know which yet)--I will be going on vacation to recharge my batteries. I am going to try to convince Earth to do some guest blogging while I am gone.
Uber opened on the 24th (or was it the 25th.... I can't even remember) and the new theme is Bohemian. Let me just say, wow. First, I really like the hair by Truth Hawks this round (I normally do...); it is a large braid, and looks more like a twisted curl, in the back with options for flowers or butterflies to add in front and back. I can see myself wearing this hair a lot. I adore braids. Nylon Outfitters has a few items again at the event. I wasn't so interested in the clothes, I was really into the jewelry. I really like the turquoise and silver earrings and necklace. The necklace has got strands of turquoise layered on top of each other, and it is rather large, but not obnoxiously so. Currently I have it paired with an outfit I bought from Uber by League. It is a long sweater/skirt combo and has a cool leather belt. I, of course, bought the white/gray dress and the necklace and earrings pair so well. I really like the look. Very bohemian, and also very simple and subdued.
My FAVORITE thing at Uber this round is a skirt by CandyDoll. There are lots of different prints, and the skirt is very well fitted. I bought two different prints, an Aztec print (it looks more Moroccan than Aztec to me) and a large floral print. I have this lacy crop top I bought a while back from Chapter Four by Ionic and it pairs perfectly with this skirt by CandyDoll (I am getting really proud of myself more and more for pairing separate pieces together. I used to be horrible at it). I had been planning on buying a skirt/crop top combo from Foxes this round, but unfortunately the top had some fringe (not a lot, but some). It is not very noticeable from afar, so I didn't really notice it in the preview pictures.
Now a bit of a side note: I know I have mentioned this before, but I am not a fan of fringe. I don't know what it is, but to me it just makes an outfit look unfinished most of the time. I do realize a LOT of people like fringe; it is in style, and it is quite bohemian.... However.....I still don't like it. I know I am weird. Fringe just doesn't do it for me. I will admit there are some fringe items I like. And some people look fantastic in fringe... Like my Soul Sister, Kalia, she bought the outfit by Foxes and she looks GREAT in it. She was wearing it at The Woods on my Birth/Rez Day the week before and she looked amazing. She can pull off fringe. I look like a hobo (not even a stylish hobo chic....like the hobo living behind your house in the woods).
The Arcade opened up on Sunday, March 1st and I hate to admit this, but I spent the WHOLE day trying to teleport in...with no success--but this is usual with The Arcade. When I was finally able to get in, I got almost everything I wanted from The Arcade. Not many outfits in this round, more accessories and home items. There is a "Arabian Nights" styled outfit set by Enfant which I feel in love with as soon as I saw the previews. There is a gamer girl outfit set by Birdy Foxes which was cute, and a Wonderland set by Pixicat. The big jewelry items I wanted was by Schadenfreude wee beastie rings and Nylon Outfitters(Yummy) Lucky Cat Necklaces. I was lucky enough to have gotten every thing I wanted from all the vendors, except one..... Of course there is only one. The hairs by Tableau Vivant and Exile are really pretty. Tableau Vivant's is large and not practical for everyday wear...but I like it so much. Exile's hair is very practical, very pretty, and the best part is you get two styles in one pack!
FaMESHed opened as well on Sunday, with way more success in the teleporting department. I was able to get in quick (about the fifth try). I bought Zenith's new Springtime Casual dress in the sailor print because I do love ocean stuff (I am a marine biologist). The sleeves of the dress go to the elbow and are bunched up, giving it a more "Real Life" look/feel. Also there is an outfit set by Lumiere--it is a sheer top and a patterned shorts. Both pieces are separate, so you can pick your combo. It is rather more expensive (it was about $500L together), but it does look really well. For the shirts there are three options, a full shirt, partial for an open jacket (that option goes with longer jackets not cropped) and a closed jacket option (again, also longer jackets). I think the shirt would look great with a cropped jacket, but the string in the back (which also happens to be one of my favorite parts of the shirt) doesn't go with the cropped jackets I have. I need to do some pairing with hair and jackets. Even without a jacket, it looks stunning and simple. Very Springy. I like it.
My post is long...Really long...so I will stop there for now. I hope you all had a wonderful Holi, had a great weekend, and I hope this week is full of fun times and lots of shopping. Much Love~
