Russian Caravan with Cream Please

Hello my Tea Readers! I hope this week has been awesome. I have had a crazy weather week...and the weekend decided to have a down pour so I am just staying in with the windows opened a little to let in the fresh rain scent. And as you probably guessed, I am having a cuppa.

This week's post is about Shiny Shabby, which opened on Monday with a Russian theme. I know I got excited, and it wasn't about the fashion so much as it was for this really really REALLY pretty Russian tea set by 8f8.  You can buy the individual pieces, but I would recommend buying the whole set because it comes with an extra silver/white set for free (two for the price of one is always a good bargain).  Once I bought the tea set I went exploring around and let me tell you, the colors and the patterns....just wow. I would of never thought there would be so much color and variety, but it makes sense...Russia covers two continents and like has 11 time zones.

Dress: E-Clipse Zara Jans Jeans @ShinyShabby, Shoes: Essenz Mumbai, Necklace and Earrings: EarthStones Vintage Romance, Ring: Random Matter Daphne, Violin: Zenith Vintage Violin @ShinyShabby, Hair: Truth Freya, Skin: Glam Affair Katra, Skin: Glam Affair Katra, Eyes: Redgrave Catgreen Natural6 Lashes, Slink hands and feet

I really liked this dress by EClipse Design... It is just a really gorgeous detailed jacket with a simple white dress under it. It isn't long, and it isn't short. I just really like the way it looks and the fit. I have it paired with a vintage jewelry set from EarthStones and a violin I won from Zenith at the event. Zenith's gacha has home pieces (side tables and frames) as the commons, and a dress as rare-I suspect the dress is an Ultra Rare because I won the two other rares multiple times before I even got to the dress. The dress is a pale pink, simple, and a period piece. It says it is Nineteenth century, and I can totally see it in the cut and style of the dress. Let me just say I spent a TON of Linden$ trying to win this dress, and it is so worth every single one.  And I think the surprise piece which I knew I would like, but didn't think I would get as much use out of it as I have, is the violin. It is one of the rares, and surprisingly it can go with any outfit.  I have it paired with my outfit EClipse and let me tell you...well you can see it! It looks awesome.

I bought some shoes at the event by Essenz; the gems on the sandals are really big and stand out and are just awesome.  And I think I have heard or read somewhere Russian gemstones are of a great quality and their emeralds are really popular....but I would have to double check.  And before I go an a tangent about gems, Breathe has a dress at Shiny Shabby which reminds me of a classic tea dress. There are lots of color combinations and she even has some floral prints. There is also a dress by GizzA, which has lots of floral print options, but for some reason this dress just didn't do it for me. I like the cut but I think the patterns kind of throw me.  I don't know if it is because it reminds me of upholstery fabric or if it is just the colors. And this surprises me, since I LOVE floral prints. I don't know...maybe it is the combination of the dress cut and the floral print. Maybe if the cut was different, or the print was different...

Dress: Zenith Nineteenth Century Long Skirt @ShinyShabby, Necklace and Earrings: EarthStones Vintage Romance, Ring: Random Matter Daphne, Hair: Truth Nathalia, Skin: Glam Affair Amberly Lovely Day former Collabor88, Eyes: Redgrave Catgreen and Natural6 Lashes, Slink Hands

Overall, this event is a must. Just for the colors and patterns and I think you can see how much variety there is to Russian Culture.  I hope the rest of your weekend is as relaxing as mine. Hugs and Smooches~

**Please note that while I wrote this, quite a few creators were MIA, so don't forget to check back a few times to see if you missed anything**

Fruit Tea and a Seasoned Storyteller

It's another great Sunday everyone! I had one awesome week this week and I am so excited to get this next week started with another fun post. I hope everyone has had a chance to check out Season's Story-if not you will find out all about it today!

Dress: Enfant Terrible Ivy Dress with matching chest piece and Headband @Season's Story, Shoes: Enfant Terrible: Rose Shoe former Arcade [not shown], Hair Truth Thalia former Mystic Realms Faire, Ring: Aisling The Good Wife, Earrings: Yummy Double Diamond Studs former Uber, Skin: Glam Affair Katra, Slink Hands and Feet, Eyes: Redgrave Catgreen and Natural6Lashes, Lipstick: Izzie's Qopi Matt Lipstick Raspberry

Season's Story opened last Thursday and it took forever to get in(as is tradition). When I was finally able to get in the set up was like a fairy tale. There is a tree in the center, and located under the tree is a group gift for this round, so make sure to join the group and wear the tag(joining is free).  Zenith has a cute short spring dress gacha out. The commons are sold print bustier dresses, necklaces, and bags. The Rares are floral print bustier dresses(includes a bag) and a cute floral rattan hat.  I won lots of the commons and one each of the rares. So putting together the outfits was really fun.  I also bought the outfit by Enfant Terrible. It is a cute whimsical dress with a pearl top option, and you can buy a pearl headband with it. I, of course, bought the whole outfit.  The dress is longer than what I am used to with Enfant Terrible, and the final look is just stunning.  I think my two favorite buys are Zenith and Enfant Terrible.

Dress: Zenith Bustier Skirt Vintage Flower @Season's Story, Handbag: Zenith Tea Time Cream @Season's Story, Hair: D!va Kelly @Season's Story, Earrings: Yummy Double Diamond Studs former Uber, Ring: Aisling The Good Wife, Bracelet: Yummy Pearl and Diamond Bracelet former uber [hidden by dress], Necklace: Leafs Necklace @Season's Story, Shoes: Eudora 3D Dahlia Pumps, Slink hands and feet, Eyes: Redgrave Catgreen and Natural6 Lashes, Skin: Glam Affair Katra

The good thing about Zenith and Enfant Terrible are both vendors are close together and are right by the landing point.  D!va is also at the landing point and the floral hair with the side bun is my favorite! It looks the most natural with strays going everywhere and the way it is styled and with the flowers...I just love it.  Apparently you can click the hair and pick which flowers show and such....I have all the flowers showing. I doubt I will ever use the that option.  I didn't really buy much else from the other vendors.  There is a long stocking I liked which looks like the sky,  but it has taken me a while to pick out which sky I liked the best.  The rest of the vendors had nice stuff, but to me it was either too boxy, too much denim, or too....juvenile isn't the right word for it....too youthful for my taste.

Outfit: Zenith Big Sleeves Loose Skirt @Kustom9, Ring: CAE Anniversary @Fit for a Princess, bracelet: EarthStones Maxine in Onyx, Bag: Zenith Leather Calceolaria @Kustom9, Shoes: Ingenue Louise Creme, Necklace: Tea.S Pixi Dust, Hair: Tableau Vivant Foxtrot @Kustom9, Skin: Glam Affair Katra, Slink Hands and Feet, Eyes: Redgrave Catgreen and Natural6 Lashes, mug comes with pose by BellePoses called Drew

On Wednesday Kustom9 and The Liaison Collaborative opened and let me tell you....both rounds are wonderful. I thought at first I wouldn't have enough Linden$.  At Kustom9 Zenith has a loose shirt/skirt outfit which reminds me of a graduate student's outfit if they were going out for a nice dinner after a few hours of studying at the library.  Tableau Vivant has a cool new hair called Foxtrot which I love. It is thick, it is curly, and it is so pretty!! Now apparently it is a hair which is mostly for editorials(pictures and such) so the creators recommend you try the demo to make sure it works with your AO and such if you are going to wear it out. I, also, recommend you try the demo. BUT....I love the hair and it looks fantastic with my AO. So please try the demo first.  There is also a cute casual outfit by MotiAme which I find adorable. just like last months. A cute sheer overlay skirt with a simple collared blouse. Again, simple and gorgeous.

At the Liaison Collaborative Lumiere Apparel has a dress which reminds me of a Stepford wife. Very 1950s-60s.  I also bought a pair of shoes by random matter which match the dress, I think flawlessly.  Earthstones also has a set of bangles out which are really nice. They are called Katya and are simple, and have such tiny details....just wonderful really.  Fishy Strawberry has a cool outfit, which for some reason when I putting together the look, reminded me of Kore. I have mentioned in earlier posts that I love the story of Persephone and Hades, and this just looks to me like a modern day Kore (i.e. Persephone before her abduction by Hades into the underworld).  I just....Love.

Outfit: Fishy Strawberry L'Amour Corset and Spring Fling Skirt @The Liaison Collaborative, Flower Crown: Ariskea Darcy Blessing of Love @The Liaison Collaborative, Ring: CAE Belle Ring, Bangles: EarthStones Katya Bangles @The Liaison Collaborative, Shoes: Essenz Malaga [not pictured], Necklace: Maxi Gossamer Gypsy Flower Amulet of Antimony former Collabor88, Hair: Truth Effie, Skin: Glam Affair Katra, Eyes: Redgrave Catgreen and Natural6 Lashes, Slink hands and feet, Lipstick Izzie's Qopi Matt Lipstick in plum, basket comes with pose by o0o Studio

I know... My posts just keep getting longer and longer. I promise I am done for now. I can hardly wait to share with you all next week. Hugs and Smooches~

For a Sweeter Tea Try a Fruity Blend

Happy Sunday everyone! I hope this past week has been good for all of you. I know I have been trudging through, rain and all. But you know what they say, "April showers bring May flowers".  So here's to hoping we have lots of pretty flowers next month!

Dress: ISON T-Belt Shirt Dress @Collabor88, Shoes: ISON Girl Panic Boots (British Black), Earrings: Maxi Gossamer Ukai's Earrings (former Uber), Ring: Empyrean Forge Heritage Ring (former We<3RolePlay), Skin: Glam Affair Katra Party7 @Collabor88, Hair: D!va Angelica, Slink Hands, Guitar is Namine Guitar (you can actually play and make music with legit play it)

Collabor88 opened on Wednesday with the theme Pretty in Punk.  I was skeptical at first. I liked the color scheme, but I am not a huge fan of skulls (excluding sugar skulls and La Calavera Catrina). Again, like fringe, not really for me, but on other people I think it looks completely B-A.  In Real Life I am uncomfortable in punk clothes, and if you are uncomfortable in your clothes, you don't look confident and if you don't look confident you are really missing something in your look. You ALWAYS want to wear something you are confident in. This doesn't always happen, but it is good to always try to be comfortable and confident. So, back to Collabor88, the designers really punk rocked it out this time. Yes, there are lots of skulls and punk elements so they really did keep with the theme. It was a bit of a challenge for me to pick things out to buy and think about how to pair and make some cute outfits, but I think I managed just fine. The great thing is the designers made it...neutral isn't even a good word for it....universal enough so if you aren't much of a punk rocker you can still buy something to create a real edgy look.

Erratic is there and has some loose tanks and some really cool leggings (they come for system layers and also there are appliers if you have a mesh body). I bought the star print leggings because it is very celestial (it also reminds me of the body suit I bought a while back at Uber by Foxes). The loose tanks either have something on the front or are plan (depending on the one you buy) and a skull cut-out in the back.  Glam Affair has a cute dress and leggings; the dress I bought has a lavender pattern and I have it paired with some lavender boots I found in my inventory by KoKo (I have been trying to pair it with items to make it look more edgy...not really working at this point).  ISON has a cool dress that looks like a twist at on the boyfriend shirt. Baiastice also has a cool three-piece set out which just reminds me of a more risqué female three-piece suit. I was surprised to see lots of union jack prints along with the skulls, a huge plus for me! I was a little worried at first because like I mentioned earlier, I am not much of a punk rocker chick. I was surprised and excited to see the creations. I still didn't go very crazy at Collabor88 as I usually do, but I did buy some awesome stuff (I did buy more skins by Glam Affair-they had some more Katra skins and I love this new skin).

Dress: Glam Affair Omega Dress @Collabor88, Boots: KoKo Soft Leather Boots in Lavender, Necklace: Pekka Third Eye Necklace, Bracelet: Izzie's Eternity Bracelet, Hair: Elua Iola2, Skin: Glam Affair Katra Party7 @Collabor88, Slink Hands, Whatever Fang Teeth, Eyes: Redgrave Catgreen and Natural6 Lashes

And guess what opened on Friday....Seasons' Story!!! OMG! So exciting. I will be posting about Season's Story next Sunday to give me more time to get to the event and mess around with the outfits. Much Love Tea Readers. Hugs and Smooches~

Outfit: Baiastice Charlie Bra Mile Vest and Sava Skirt all in Print/Roses and Lace @Collabor88, Shoes: Veronica Platforms Roses [not pictured], Ring: CAE Anniversary @FitforAPrincess, Bracelet: Noodles Initial Bracelet Silver, Necklace: Tea.S Just a Rose, Hair: Tableau Vivant Faux Dreads-Namiriel @We<3Role-Play, Skin: Katra Party 07 @Collabor88, Slink Hands and Feet, Whatever Fang Teeth, Eyes: Redgrave Catgreen and Natural6 lashes

Green Tea to Free Your Senses

Happy Easter everyone! I hope this past week as been amazing for everyone. I know it has been awesome for me. I feel like I am all caught up, finally, on everything.  Let's get started with this week's post. Go ahead and put on your kettle.

Dress: Zenith Thoracotomy @Uber, Head Jewel: Zaara Nizam Tikka, Hair: Truth Armelle @Uber, Skin: Glam Affair Katra, Slink Hands, Bracelets: Noodles Positivity Bangles [not seen], Trident came with pose from An Lar Poses The Water God Series

So Uber opened on March 25th, and it was driving me crazy right before hand....because I could NOT find out what the theme was for the month. And guess what? It is a freestyle round. So no theme. Now I did not go to the event right away, because when I was checking out the listings on Seraphim a lot of the stores/creators were MIA(at least there were a lot the first day Uber opened, the next day there were considerably fewer creators MIA). So I checked out the Uber website, and I saw a few of the items that were yet to be listed, but I wanted to wait a few days to give the creators time to set up their stalls. I normally teleport in as soon as I can, so this was very abnormal of me to wait on an event. I don't know if it was the long list of MIA (missing in action) on Seraphim or not... Either way, there are a few items when I did get in I felt compelled to buy, like the hair by Truth, an outfit by Zenith, and Erratic had an outfit that reminded me of a previous release by Zaara last spring. It is an open jacket with folded sleeves and a pant with the ankles folded. The folds have cute patterns and you have options between some really nice solids and a cute floral print(guess who got the floral).  Also there is a romper(everyone is really into the rompers right now) by Fishy Strawberry I bought, and it is really cute; I bought the sakura print to try to be a bit different, it is a darker blue with red petals. I like it, I really do....I just need to figure out how to pair it.... I am having some pairing difficulties with it. I need to figure out what I plan on doing with this romper.

Jacket and Pants: Erratic Anya and Tegan @Uber, Shoes: Ingenue: Louise Heels former Arcade, Bustier: Zaara Natasha, Necklace Earrings Ring: Mandala Prophecy @Uber, Bracelet: CAE Wanderlust London @TLC, Head Jewel: Zaara Nizam Tikka, Hair: Truth Armelle, Skin: Glam Affair Katra, Eyes: Redgrave Catgreen and Natural6 Lashes, Slink Hands and Feet

There are a few outfits with tights I bought which I liked, but again, I need to work on putting the whole "look" together. Baiastice has a cute mini dress with tights(the tights have built in shoes which are like AWESOME).  There is another outfit with tights by ISON there, and there are shoes you can buy, which are really fun and very versatile. The top has a cool back (the top has Spider in the name if that gives you an idea for the back). The tights you can choose from are a marbled print, which I find fun and different. I bought the shoes to go with the outfit and the whole look together is a cute with an updo or with a fun short hair. I did buy a jewelry set by Mandala and I think I want to go back and buy other packs. They are big, bold, and beautiful; to me they look so exotic, and the great part is there is a set there which is unisex so both gentlemen and ladies can look fabulous. Valentina also has a GORGEOUS dress that is one shoulder and I bought the black one. To me it is the perfect little black dress. When I saw the pictures in the previews, I knew it was mine. Love, love, LOVE.

Outfit: ISON Spider Tank and Marble Leggings @Uber, Shoes: Ison Stingray Sandals @Uber [not shown], Earrings and Necklace: Mandala Prophecy @Uber, Hair: Truth Posy, Skin: Glam Affair Katra, Slink Hands and Feet, Eyes: Redgrave Catgreen and Natural6 Lashes

I crashed the first time I was at Uber, but I was able to get most of my shopping done that first go. But as you all know, every event is good until the last day(good to the last drop), and I have enjoyed teleporting in a few times to see if I missed anything. I bought some jewelry from Mandala, I bought two sets, the Princess Dogtags(they don't look anything like dogtags) and Prophecy. I love these sets, and right now, with some of my outfits, I am wearing all three pieces together....maybe it works, maybe it doesn't...but I feel regal so there.

Shirt/Dress: Zenith Mimi short skirt @FaMESHed, Shorts: ModanMesh Shorts, Shoes: JD Malgo Leather White @FaMESHed, Rings: Mandela Princess Dogtags @Uber and CAE Anniversary Ring @Fit for a Princess, Nosering: Zaara Ayanna, Head Jewel: Zaara Nizam Tikka, Earrings: Zaara Ayanna Jhumka, Hair: Argrace Konomi, Skin: Glam Affair Katra, Lipgloss: Glam Affiar Romy Goddess, Handbag: Zaara Patchwork @Creation.JP, Slink Hands and Feet, Whatever Fang Teeth, Eyes: Redgrave Catgreen and Natural6 Lashes

FaMEHSed opened on Wednesday and while everything was of course of great quality, I was only interested in a few things. Mainly Zenith's mini dress (which I have paired with khaki shorts because it is REALLY if it wasn't in the virtual world there would flashings every time I made a step short.) and a dress by Rebel Hope. There is a cute lounge outfit by Fishy Strawberry I bought to go with some converse sneakers I bought a week or two ago by FateSTEP (same creator as FatePLAY). Like I said, everything is of great quality, but nothing really jumped out at me this round.

I know not all of you are of the Christian faith, and as you know from previous posts I am not either, Yet, I still want to wish everyone a Happy Easter and a Wonderful Spring! And for those of you in the Southern Hemisphere, Happy Autumn!! Hugs and Smooches~

Side Note: If you noticed, like all the pictures have Zaara's Head Jewel Nizam Tikka...that is because no matter what I did when I was changing for the pictures (and for some reason relogging didn't help me) the jewel would not come all. So I figured that was a sign to just include it in all the pictures. So....Yay for Head Jewels! The one outfit it started with was Zenith Mimi...Then it just carried over to all the other outfits. So if you don't like the head jewel...put your finger over it. :P
