~On a Whim~

Happy Sunday everyone! Really REALLY short post this week, but I wanted to give a bit of information on a new event called Whimsical. It opened on the 18th, and it is very...whimsical.

The Whimsical event was created by people from The Fantasy Collective and The Epiphany Gacha. The whole sim itself is very relaxing and landscaped so well--almost like you can take a nice spring summer stroll around a fresh garden. The vendor stalls fit in so well with the landscape; the whole event looks well put together! Kudos to everyone who had a hand in the landscaping and decorating! Well done! I love when you go to an event and everything looks nice and is easy to navigate. (There are also maps placed around the landing point so you can easily find where all the designers/creators have set up.

Hair: NEW Truth Henya @Whimsical, Necklace: ERSCH Stellation 9 Pisces @Whimsical, Crown/Starband: ERSCH: Stellation 16 RARE @Whimsical, Body: Maitreya Lara, Skin: Glam Affair December, Eyes: IKON Charm Emerald and Redgrave Natural6 Lashes, Teeth: Whatever Fang Mesh Teeth

I didn't buy any clothing items for my avatar at the event, however I did like some accessories, especially these constellation necklaces by ERSCH. I am a huge lover of the stars. I remember when I was younger going outside late at night with my father and finding all the constellations and looking for shooting stars. And even now, being a real and hard working adult I am, I still find myself looking at the same constellations and STILL I am in awe. The necklaces come in a gacha, so you can not buy the specific constellation you want, but you could get these really cool tiaras (they are the rares). Just an FYI:  there is one box in the gacha which is mislabeled. If you are a gemini, your item is #4, and when you open the box for #4 it will say Virgo. IT IS NOT VIRGO; I think the creator got the item names mixed up. #2 is Virgo and #4 is Gemini.

Truth is also at the event with a fun new hair called Henya. There is an optional  headband and feather add on which is really cool. I would of loved if there was a peacock feather option, but there are some nice color choices. Also you can add on a whisp of hair at your bangs, and also hair covering your front. In the picture above I have on only the whisp and the front hair attachment.

There are of course lots, and I do mean LOTS, of other really cool items and creations--I was just interested in the constellation necklaces and the hair by Truth. The event will be open till March 3rd, so go on over to Whimsical and take a look around. Even if you don't buy anything, it is still a lovely walk.

Let's be whimsical together!!!!! xoxo

Masala Chai and a Bohemian Blend

Hey everyone! I hope you all had a great Holi and a great weekend. I always feel like the weekends go by way too fast. But lately I feel like the work week has had a good steady pace, too.  Just a small FYI, I may be posting the next few Sundays late or early (I don't know which yet)--I will be going on vacation to recharge my batteries. I am going to try to convince Earth to do some guest blogging while I am gone.

Dress: League Ananda La @Uber, Necklace and Earrings: Yummy Boho Blue and Silver @Uber, Hair: Truth Delphine @Uber, Skin: Glam Affair Alice Cygana Jamaica @Uber, Eyes: Redgrave Catgreen and Natural6 Lashes, Slink hands, Mouth: Whatever Fang Teeth

Uber opened on the 24th (or was it the 25th.... I can't even remember) and the new theme is Bohemian. Let me just say, wow. First, I really like the hair by Truth Hawks this round (I normally do...); it is a large braid, and looks more like a twisted curl, in the back with options for flowers or butterflies to add in front and back. I can see myself wearing this hair a lot. I adore braids. Nylon Outfitters has a few items again at the event. I wasn't so interested in the clothes, I was really into the jewelry. I really like the turquoise and silver earrings and necklace. The necklace has got strands of turquoise layered on top of each other, and it is rather large, but not obnoxiously so. Currently I have it paired with an outfit I bought from Uber by League. It is a long sweater/skirt combo and has a cool leather belt. I, of course, bought the white/gray dress and the necklace and earrings pair so well. I really like the look. Very bohemian, and also very simple and subdued.

My FAVORITE thing at Uber this round is a skirt by CandyDoll. There are lots of different prints, and the skirt is very well fitted. I bought two different prints, an Aztec print (it looks more Moroccan than Aztec to me) and a large floral print.  I have this lacy crop top I bought a while back from Chapter Four by Ionic and it pairs perfectly with this skirt by CandyDoll (I am getting really proud of myself more and more for pairing separate pieces together. I used to be horrible at it). I had been planning on buying a skirt/crop top combo from Foxes this round, but unfortunately the top had some fringe (not a lot, but some). It is not very noticeable from afar, so I didn't really notice it in the preview pictures.

Shirt: Ionic Lace Crop Top, Skirt: CandyDoll: Luna Skirt Aztec III @Uber, Shoes: Just Design Boho Vintage Brick @Uber, Necklaces: Yummy Hamsa, Shining Crystal and Small Crystal @N21, Earrings: Yummy Boho Earrings Blue/Silver @Uber, Hair: Truth Delphine with Flowers in front and back @Uber, Skin: Glam Affair Alice Cygana Jamaica @Uber, Bracelets: Zenith Cross Anchor Love and Izzie's Eternity Bracelet, Nosering: Zaara Ayanna, Ring: Aisling The Good Wife, Eyes: Redgrave Catgreen and Natural6 Lashes. Slink Hands and High Feet

Now a bit of a side note:  I know I have mentioned this before, but I am not a fan of fringe. I don't know what it is, but to me it just makes an outfit look unfinished most of the time. I do realize a LOT of people like fringe; it is in style, and it is quite bohemian.... However.....I still don't like it. I know I am weird. Fringe just doesn't do it for me. I will admit there are some fringe items I like. And some people look fantastic in fringe... Like my Soul Sister, Kalia, she bought the outfit by Foxes and she looks GREAT in it. She was wearing it at The Woods on my Birth/Rez Day the week before and she looked amazing. She can pull off fringe. I look like a hobo (not even a stylish hobo chic....like the hobo living behind your house in the woods).

The Arcade opened up on Sunday, March 1st and I hate to admit this, but I spent the WHOLE day trying to teleport in...with no success--but this is usual with The Arcade. When I was finally able to get in,  I got almost everything I wanted from The Arcade. Not many outfits in this round, more accessories and home items. There is a "Arabian Nights" styled outfit set by Enfant which I feel in love with as soon as I saw the previews. There is a gamer girl outfit set by Birdy Foxes which was cute, and a Wonderland set by Pixicat. The big jewelry items I wanted was by Schadenfreude wee beastie rings and Nylon Outfitters(Yummy) Lucky Cat Necklaces. I was lucky enough to have gotten every thing I wanted from all the vendors, except one..... Of course there is only one. The hairs by Tableau Vivant and Exile are really pretty. Tableau Vivant's is large and not practical for everyday wear...but I like it so much. Exile's hair is very practical, very pretty, and the best part is you get two styles in one pack!

Dress: Zenith Springtime Casual Skirt Sea @FaMESHed, Shoes: L.Warwick Svannah in Navy, Necklace: Yummy Celestial Burst, Ring: Aisling The Good Wife, Bracelet: Yumyums Sailors Token Steel Anchor and Earthstones Twisted Peppermint Stick, Hair: Tableau Vivant Shiny @Shiny Shabby, Skin: December II Jamaica, Eyes: Redgrave Catgreen and Natural6 Lashes, Slink hands and feet, Mouth: Whatever Fang Teeth

FaMESHed opened as well on Sunday, with way more success in the teleporting department. I was able to get in quick (about the fifth try).  I bought Zenith's new Springtime Casual dress in the sailor print because I do love ocean stuff (I am a marine biologist). The sleeves of the dress go to the elbow and are bunched up, giving it a more "Real Life" look/feel. Also there is an outfit set by Lumiere--it is a sheer top and a patterned shorts. Both pieces are separate, so you can pick your combo. It is rather more expensive (it was about $500L together), but it does look really well. For the shirts there are three options, a full shirt, partial for an open jacket (that option goes with longer jackets not cropped) and a closed jacket option (again, also longer jackets). I think the shirt would look great with a cropped jacket, but the string in the back (which also happens to be one of my favorite parts of the shirt) doesn't go with the cropped jackets I have. I need to do some pairing with hair and jackets. Even without a jacket, it looks stunning and simple. Very Springy. I like it.

Outfit: Lumiere Apparel Sheer Top Nude and Trouser Shorts Floral#3 @FaMESHed, Shoes: Reign Bohemian Energy Wedges, Handbag: Glam Affair Maria Clutch @FaMESHed, Bracelets: Glam Affair Bangles Candy, Necklace: Yummy Embelished Key Necklace Gold, Earrings: Aisling Roz, Hair: Exile Scribbled Hearts, Skin: Glam Affair Amberly II Jamaica, Eyes: Redgrave Catgreen and Natural6 Lashes, Slink Hands and Feet

My post is long...Really long...so I will stop there for now.  I hope you all had a wonderful Holi, had a great weekend, and I hope this week is full of fun times and lots of shopping. Much Love~

Every Leaf and Every Spice for the Perfect Blend

As I mentioned last Sunday, The Liaison Collaborative, Genre, Kustom9, Kawaii Project, and The Secret Affair opened last week. (If I remember correctly all of these events opened on the 15th...don't quote me on it.)

Genre is celebrating a birthday this round, so the theme is Celebration. Lots of party items and some party dresses. I bought one dress from The Annex--it was a really pretty red striped dress. Once I put it on, I paired it with my leather jacket by Foxes. It looks great, but when I got off the stand, the back of the dress has a slit... Like a huge slit. It was way too racy for me, so I switched it for my Anti. There are some other dresses, and some pants there, but I like The Annex dress the best.

The Kawaii Project has some very nice skins from Glam Affair. More natural tones and such, I bought a few, but other than that, there were not any outfits that screamed at me. Moon Amore has a skirt and cardigan combo there. I have been going back and forth debating on whether or not I want to buy one or not. I am still not sure. It seems a bit too young looking for me.  For those of you who have teen looking avatars, this might be a cardigan/skirt combo for you.

Kustom9 didn't have any full outfits I had to have, but I did buy lots of separate pieces to make new outfits with pieces from other events. MAINLY for the skirt by Amiable I bought at Season's Story. Pixicat has a crop-sweater at Kustom9 that pairs fabulously with the tulle skirt from Amiable I bought. I was so excited when I saw the sweaters listed on Seraphim.  When I tried the demo, It matched perfectly. So BAM! New outfit that is gorgeous.  I also bought some more skins from Glam Affair, similar to the ones at The Kawaii Project, but it has colorful eye-shadows and lip glosses.

Sweater: Pixicate Crop Sweater Pastel @Kustom9, Skirt: Amiable Mixtulle Lace Skirt @Season's Story, Shoes: Gos Carrie Pumps Ivory, Hair: Truth Harmony ponytail, Watches: Sorgo So Watch WhiteGold @Creation.JP, Jewelry: Yummy Pearl Stud Earrings and Ice Ring Quartz, Eyes and Lashes: Redgrave Catgreen and Natural6, Slink Nails, Phone: O.M.E.N. For Her: Riviera Phone, Skin: Glam Affair Ellie @Kustom9, Bracelets: Noodles: Positivity Bangles @FaMESHed
The Secret Affair opened as well, and the theme this round is "Untamed Purity".  I like the theme--I like how the designers all have lots of whites and lots of simple and diverse designs. I don't know if I mentioned this before in a previous post, but my favorite color is white (and yes, I know it is technically a shade...not a color, but it is a color to me. If Crayola has a white crayon, it is a color).  The outfit I did buy was by Junbug. The ensemble is called The Innocent.  It is a gacha, but I really liked the style of the dresses (so spending quite a bit of Linden$ to get the dress was worth it). It is more of a period-piece, but the detail and the textures are wonderful (as usual).  It does come with a sort of "jacket" you can put over the dress to make it more conservative and to give it a more..... I wouldn't even call it modern; it changes up the look of the dress.

Last but not least is The Liaison Collaborative. I did not end up buying anything form TLC this round.  There is quite a bit of jewelry there this round. I might get a jewelry set by Izzie.  It has pearl strands and pearl flowers. It is simple, yet mesmerizing....Yea, I think I am going to break down and buy it. There weren't really and outfits or clothing pieces I had to have.  But the jewelry is very nice, not gaudy, not quite simple. Overall very pleasing, and when you wear it, I am sure it will add the perfect touch to any outfit.

As always, have a great day and week. Enjoy your cuppa. Hugs and Smooches!~

Have Yourself a Merry Little Christmas Now

Arcade opened up at Midnight on December 1st.  I know this post for the Arcade is late, but it doesn't close till the end of the month (31st to be exact), and it is perfect for getting last minute Christmas, Chanukah, and any other holiday or "just because" gifts.

Okay, so as I have mentioned before in earlier posts, and on my info page, I do enjoy gachas.  And the Arcade is really well done this round....well, it is really well done every round... BUT, it is Christmas time, and there are 25 gifts from the designers under the tree in the center of the room.  I haven't opened all my boxes, but I did open a few, and I liked them. Thank you designers! On a bit of a different note, I was excited about Zaara's Tuk-Tuks, and I got the RARE Unicorn one--so excited.

As I was looking at the guide for the Arcade this round, I noticed Birdy/Foxes has a very girly winter set out.  The Peacoat and boots come together as a common, as well as the earmuffs, scarf and necklace. The rare is the cute little kitten--well, the kitten isn't very little, but it sure isn't large.  I LOVE little attachable pets. Alchemy at the Mystical Realms Faire had the Dire Wolf Familiars... There used to be a store (it closed down due to the owner/creator having Real Life problems they needed to take care of) called Manticore which had lots of different attachable familiars, and the kitten familiar is similar in "design"....if that makes any sense.  I have another kitty familiar by Birdy/Foxes from a while ago, another Rare from a gacha a few months back.  Anyway, I have the whole set. And at first I thought the outfit could do without the kitten, and it does look great on it's own...but the kitten....oh the kitten is just so cute, and makes the whole ensemble look innocent and more girly.

Complete outfit: Birdy/Foxes Woodland Wonderland in Mint (with gray Ear Muffs and Fur Muff, pocket watch necklace, and Kitten) @The Arcade, Skin: Glam Affair December Jamaica1 @The Arcade, Hair: Splellbound SweetDreams @The Arcade, Eyes: Redgrave Catgreen, Eyelashes: Redgrave 6 Natural

The hair I am wearing in the above pictures, as well as the skin, are also both from the Arcade.  The hair is by Spellbound (my first hair from this creator) and the skin is by Glam Affair--also at the Arcade.  I lucked out in getting the blonde first thing at the gacha, and the skin, well...I am the odd person who wanted to common more than the Rares.

Overall, I am very happy with all my Arcade purchases/wins.  I lucked out more in this round than I have in others. Plus I got a few awesome presents. Take some time before the end of the month and check out The Arcade.

Now is the time to enjoy a nice hot cocoa or mulled wine (if you are within legal age).  I hope all of you have a wonderful Christmas, Chanukah, Kwanzaa, and any other holiday you and yours may celebrate. Hugs and Smooches~

A Twist of Lemon

This week's post is going to be over the new round at Uber.  The theme this month is uber sexy (couldn't help it); the actual theme is 50 Shades. Lots of sexy corsets, shoes, some awesome furniture, and just....sexiness. I am in love at Uber this month....or is it Lust..... I am lovin' the lust.  The hair and dress in this outfit are both found at Uber.  Please, please take a look at Uber asap. I am not even really into short hair, but the hair from Truth is gorgeous.  I have been wearing it all week. A definite must have.

Dress: JunBug Highland Wedding Gown Passion @The Gathering Gacha; Hair: Truth Dariela Blonde; Crown and Necklace: Junbug Highland Commons @The Gathering Gacha; bracelets: .Asling. Elyan Gold Bracelets @The Gathering Gacha
Earlier this week I was invited to a preview of The Gathering Gacha event. Junbug has got a very pretty highland wedding dress there that comes in simple, but perfect colors. The dresses themselves are the rares, the jewelry (necklaces and crowns) are commons. I was excited about the dress, and I took some photos right away. When I was there, the prices for the gachas were very reasonable. Junbug's was 30L a play. It was nice to play and not go broke.  There is also a dress there by Moon Amore that doesn't look quite right unless you are using one of the poses that come with the dress. There are photo poses, and then there is one pose you can wear while walking around.  To better explain the dress, you have to hold the skirt up to properly see it. It is pretty, but I wish there were two different visions included, the photo ready dress, and then one that you can just wear with the skirt down.

Dress: Moon Amore Zonda Dress @The Gathering Gacha; Hair: AD Pop Scotch Dark Blonde; Nose Ring: Zaara Ayanna Nosering in Clear; Eyes: Closed Natural eyes by Boudoir; Skin: Unique Megastore Ethnic India
This week has been awesome in regards to events. Both Uber and The Gathering Gacha.  Both links to the events will be at the bottom of the Blog.  Next week Collabor88 will be open, with a spooking Motel/Horror/Halloweenish theme...the picture posted on the blog makes more sense then what I just put.....but anyway, and the Mystic Realms Fair will open! Yay for awesomeness.

I may not be posting next Sunday due some Real Life plans. I will be getting online to go to some of the new fashion events/rounds of course, but I don't think I will have time for working on pictures for the blog, and to write. I may be writing a Fashion Flashback, or there may be a guest blogger posting next Sunday. We shall see what happens. Hugs and Smooches my lovely Tea Readers.
