Some Bourbon or Whiskey for Your Cuppa

Happy Sunday! This week has been crazy busy for me--my car has been in the shop, my cousin just graduated law school, and work has been hectic (and to add to the hecticness my allergies have finely started to kick my butt). Thank goodness to three-day weekends. Tomorrow is Memorial Day in the States so that means, NO WORK ON MONDAY! Yay!

Dress: Zenith Sunshine Dress @Kustom9, Necklace and Earrings: Ariskea Oceane Sea Shells, Shoes: Fri.day Marsali, Hair: NEW TRUTH Verinne, Ring: Aisling The Good Wife, Skin: Glam Affair Katra, Eyes:Redgrave Catgreen and Natural6 Lashes, Slink Hands and Feet

So Kustom9 and The Liaison Collaborative opened on Friday of last week. Let me just say....I didn't really buy anything. Zenith has a summer dress out at Kustom9. The dress is short and has sunglasses hanging from the bust, very summery.  There is also a pretty necklace/earring set by Ariskea; the set appears to be from a sea-type snail; the scientist in me looked at an identification guide and I think it might be inspired by an Euconulus fulvus, but I can be wrong...snails are not my specialty. Anyway if you want better picture, besides the one shown, it reminds me of the necklace which held Ariel's (Disney's The Little Mermaid) voice after Ursula took it. Yea, it's looks like that. There, of course, are lots of awesome designers at the event, but nothing else at the event "jumped" at me.

The Liaison Collaborative's theme for this month is Gentleman's Club, and the event is very masculine. There are of course items there for women as well, but I didn't see anything that I personally liked. Earth liked a few of the items, so she is pictured below. I think I am too girly to be able to pull off the masculine outfits. I don't have the confidence. But Earth is really BA, she can pull off a lot of awesome outfits.

(Earth is wearing) Outfit: Valentina Breakfast Club Shirt Dress @TheLiaisonCollaborative, Necklace: CAE Timey Wimey Things, Rings: CAE Belle Ring and Anara's Earth Ring, Shoes: LaRoo Alison Pumps, Earrings: EarthStones Globe Earrings, Bracelets: {anc} ThornCombiBangle, Slink hands, Eyes: EarthStones Eyes of the World and Redgrave Daily Lashes, Hair: Truth Vixen, Skin: LAQ Jessica Peach

I think since Collabor88 this month was just my perfect cup of tea, the other events this month don't seem as awesome. I know Earth really liked The Liaison Collaborative, and while I was clubbing the other day a few people were talking about how they loved this round at Kustom9. So please, go check out these new rounds. You might be surprised by what you find. Hugs and Smooches~

Thanks to Earth for posing for this last photo!

Fruit Tea and a Seasoned Storyteller

It's another great Sunday everyone! I had one awesome week this week and I am so excited to get this next week started with another fun post. I hope everyone has had a chance to check out Season's Story-if not you will find out all about it today!

Dress: Enfant Terrible Ivy Dress with matching chest piece and Headband @Season's Story, Shoes: Enfant Terrible: Rose Shoe former Arcade [not shown], Hair Truth Thalia former Mystic Realms Faire, Ring: Aisling The Good Wife, Earrings: Yummy Double Diamond Studs former Uber, Skin: Glam Affair Katra, Slink Hands and Feet, Eyes: Redgrave Catgreen and Natural6Lashes, Lipstick: Izzie's Qopi Matt Lipstick Raspberry

Season's Story opened last Thursday and it took forever to get in(as is tradition). When I was finally able to get in the set up was like a fairy tale. There is a tree in the center, and located under the tree is a group gift for this round, so make sure to join the group and wear the tag(joining is free).  Zenith has a cute short spring dress gacha out. The commons are sold print bustier dresses, necklaces, and bags. The Rares are floral print bustier dresses(includes a bag) and a cute floral rattan hat.  I won lots of the commons and one each of the rares. So putting together the outfits was really fun.  I also bought the outfit by Enfant Terrible. It is a cute whimsical dress with a pearl top option, and you can buy a pearl headband with it. I, of course, bought the whole outfit.  The dress is longer than what I am used to with Enfant Terrible, and the final look is just stunning.  I think my two favorite buys are Zenith and Enfant Terrible.

Dress: Zenith Bustier Skirt Vintage Flower @Season's Story, Handbag: Zenith Tea Time Cream @Season's Story, Hair: D!va Kelly @Season's Story, Earrings: Yummy Double Diamond Studs former Uber, Ring: Aisling The Good Wife, Bracelet: Yummy Pearl and Diamond Bracelet former uber [hidden by dress], Necklace: Leafs Necklace @Season's Story, Shoes: Eudora 3D Dahlia Pumps, Slink hands and feet, Eyes: Redgrave Catgreen and Natural6 Lashes, Skin: Glam Affair Katra

The good thing about Zenith and Enfant Terrible are both vendors are close together and are right by the landing point.  D!va is also at the landing point and the floral hair with the side bun is my favorite! It looks the most natural with strays going everywhere and the way it is styled and with the flowers...I just love it.  Apparently you can click the hair and pick which flowers show and such....I have all the flowers showing. I doubt I will ever use the that option.  I didn't really buy much else from the other vendors.  There is a long stocking I liked which looks like the sky,  but it has taken me a while to pick out which sky I liked the best.  The rest of the vendors had nice stuff, but to me it was either too boxy, too much denim, or too....juvenile isn't the right word for it....too youthful for my taste.

Outfit: Zenith Big Sleeves Loose Skirt @Kustom9, Ring: CAE Anniversary @Fit for a Princess, bracelet: EarthStones Maxine in Onyx, Bag: Zenith Leather Calceolaria @Kustom9, Shoes: Ingenue Louise Creme, Necklace: Tea.S Pixi Dust, Hair: Tableau Vivant Foxtrot @Kustom9, Skin: Glam Affair Katra, Slink Hands and Feet, Eyes: Redgrave Catgreen and Natural6 Lashes, mug comes with pose by BellePoses called Drew

On Wednesday Kustom9 and The Liaison Collaborative opened and let me tell you....both rounds are wonderful. I thought at first I wouldn't have enough Linden$.  At Kustom9 Zenith has a loose shirt/skirt outfit which reminds me of a graduate student's outfit if they were going out for a nice dinner after a few hours of studying at the library.  Tableau Vivant has a cool new hair called Foxtrot which I love. It is thick, it is curly, and it is so pretty!! Now apparently it is a hair which is mostly for editorials(pictures and such) so the creators recommend you try the demo to make sure it works with your AO and such if you are going to wear it out. I, also, recommend you try the demo. BUT....I love the hair and it looks fantastic with my AO. So please try the demo first.  There is also a cute casual outfit by MotiAme which I find adorable. just like last months. A cute sheer overlay skirt with a simple collared blouse. Again, simple and gorgeous.

At the Liaison Collaborative Lumiere Apparel has a dress which reminds me of a Stepford wife. Very 1950s-60s.  I also bought a pair of shoes by random matter which match the dress, I think flawlessly.  Earthstones also has a set of bangles out which are really nice. They are called Katya and are simple, and have such tiny details....just wonderful really.  Fishy Strawberry has a cool outfit, which for some reason when I putting together the look, reminded me of Kore. I have mentioned in earlier posts that I love the story of Persephone and Hades, and this look...it just looks to me like a modern day Kore (i.e. Persephone before her abduction by Hades into the underworld).  I just....Love.

Outfit: Fishy Strawberry L'Amour Corset and Spring Fling Skirt @The Liaison Collaborative, Flower Crown: Ariskea Darcy Blessing of Love @The Liaison Collaborative, Ring: CAE Belle Ring, Bangles: EarthStones Katya Bangles @The Liaison Collaborative, Shoes: Essenz Malaga [not pictured], Necklace: Maxi Gossamer Gypsy Flower Amulet of Antimony former Collabor88, Hair: Truth Effie, Skin: Glam Affair Katra, Eyes: Redgrave Catgreen and Natural6 Lashes, Slink hands and feet, Lipstick Izzie's Qopi Matt Lipstick in plum, basket comes with pose by o0o Studio

I know... My posts just keep getting longer and longer. I promise I am done for now. I can hardly wait to share with you all next week. Hugs and Smooches~

Tropical Rooibos Anyone?

Hello my Tea Readers! Oh how I have missed you. I had a wonderful vacation; I relaxed, meditated, soaked up some Vitamin D; I had a lot of Sun Tea, and most importantly I had FUN. I tried to keep up to date on happenings through my facebook and Seraphim... It was tough; what with the beaches and the sunshine and all the fishing I did, but I think I did okay. So here is this week's post. Go ahead and let your favorite blend steep for a bit.

Dress: MotiAme Front Tied Denim Dress @Kustom9, Hair: Soonsiki Day Dreams, Hat: Ariskea Belle Hat, Skin: Glam Affair Katra @Skin Fair, Slink Hand and Feet with Whatever Fang Teeth

Kustom9's new round is pretty interesting. Glam Affair has a cute dress out. There isn't anything eye catching about it; it is just simple and has a nice cut(I am working on getting it styled real interestingly, I think it's simplicity makes it perfect for any style). Enfant Terrible has a really sexy romper which I did end up wearing to a club with Earth and my soul sister Kalia last week. Very sexy, more like a twist on a body suit than a romper....or maybe it looks more like the offspring of a romper and a body suit. I was really excited about a springy dress (I am so happy it is Spring) by MotiAme which I saw previews for and I KNEW I had to have it. It is SIMPLE. A plain dress with a denim tied crop jacket over it. The dress is boxy, not form fitting at all, and a color changer HUD is included for the dress itself. Again, very very simple....and I LOVE it. To me it looks like a dress you would wear if you were out gardening (and I love gardening in Real Life and Second Life). Very very pretty. I bought a hat by Ariskea to pair with it (hat also at Kustom9) but I need to find a hair to go with it. Your tea should be ready now.

Dress: GizzA Army Denim Dress @Creation.JP, Shoes: Reign Captive Booties @FaMESHed, Rings: Ariskea Mystery Girl @Collabor88, Necklaces: Yummy Hamsa, Shining Crystal, Small Crystal Choker, Earrings: Earthstones Mesilla Hoops,  Hair: Damselfly Sunhild, Skin: Glam Affair Katra @Skin Fair;  Slink Hands and Feet with Whatever Fang Teeth, Eyes: Redgrave Catgreen and Natural6 Lashes

Creation.JP is out for this quarter and I was SO surprised to see Zaara there. She has two different handbag styles out with lots of amazing colors and patterns. One is a clutch(I bought the fatpack of this one) and the other is a cross body bag(I bought two of these)...kinda. Also there is a dress by NYU that has a scarf draping down and it looks very casual and almost "flowy".... I don't know how to properly explain it. The way the scarf drapes down looks so flawless and effortless I am sure it was a pain to create. It looks so natural. Also GizzA is there again with a cool denim dress. It is called Army Denim Dress--well I think that is what the designer was wanting it to seem like. I think it looks more like a denim jacket turned into a really chic dress(I don't really see the "Army" unless it is referred to the sharp cuts and angles). I really enjoyed putting the outfit together it just seemed to really create itself.

Shiny Shabby opened last Saturday....I think it was last Saturday...and I was overloaded with all the bohemian. The theme for the month is Boho Chic. I don't know if it was coincidental due to Uber's theme being Bohemian or if was done on purpose, but I was pleasantly surprised by a LOT of the designers.  GizzA has a dress out called Cara I HAD to buy. Had to. I couldn't not buy it. It has daisy flowers on the bodice and on the sleeves, with a knee length skirt which to me seems just whimsical. There is a cutout in the back, which I LOVE. So, yea....I had to buy it.  Also another had to...Zenith has a Tea Time Dress.... Again, I had to.  Sunday Tea and Fashion! I love tea time! And I love dresses!! So this dress equals perfection. I love the cut on the shoulder. The neckline has ruffles that are simple, yet add so much more depth compared to if they weren't there.  I did something different with this dress, I bought the white and black colored one, not the pink or the blue one. I have some Tahitian pearls which I bought by Izzie's a while back... They look amazing paired with this dress. So I think this was my favorite buy.

RAW SHOT: Dress: Zenith Tea Time Dress @Shiny Shabby, Jewelry: Izzie's Tahitian Pearl Set, Shoes: Gos Carrie Pumps Patent, Ring: Aisling The Good Wife, Hair: Truth Sally, Slink Hands and Whatever Teeth Fang, Skin: Glam Affair Katra @Skin Fair, Eyes: Redgrave Catgreen and Natural6 Lashes

Also at Shiny Shabby there is a dress by B.C.C called The Good Feeling Dress....This dress I feel encompasses the whole Boho Chic theme of the event. I bought the dress with the mixed colored print on the skirt--it took me forever to decide on which pattern to buy or if I wanted the white or cream dress.... I still want don't know if I want to go back and buy another one. For those of you who like the dress, good luck to you buying a color/print. I hope it is easier for you than for me...silly indecisive brain. Also there is another short and sexy dress by Enfant Terrible called Willow. I thought it looked very flapper girlish. The really cool thing Enfant Terrible has out is a necklace called Spring in a Bottle.... I saw some pictures on the internet like EONS ago, of these small pots with even smaller plants in necklaces... The necklace has a small vase with what appears to be silver-ish Tulips. Again, another must buy. I loved seeing these necklaces a long time ago, and I definitely jumped at the chance to buy one for my avatar.

There are other events that opened when I was away, like Genre and The Liaison Collaborative, but I didn't really find anything at TLC(I did buy a charm bracelet fatpack by CAE. They are charm bracelets with themes from places around the world). Genre's theme this month is Biker and TLC's theme is Bon Voyage. I thought the theme was funny since I was on vacation when it opened. Also, the Skin Fair opened and I don't really have much to say on this event. It is pretty self explanatory... Lots of skins. I did buy a fatpack of the Katra Skin by Glam Affair. But other than that, not much to report.

Dress: B.C.C Good Feeling Long Dress Mix @Shiny Shabby, Hair: !Oleander~Bennett, Necklace: Yummy Embelished Key Necklace, Ring: Aisling The Good Wife, Earrings: Amorous Wild, Shoes: Maitreya Gold Pearl Antheia Sandals, Skin: Glam Affair Katra @Skin Fair, Slink Hands and Feet, Eyes: Redgrave Catgreen and Natural6 Lashes

I don't have much else to say about the events that opened while I was gone. I have still been trying to catch up with everything I have missed. Hopefully by next week's post I will be all caught up. Much love my Tea Readers. Enjoy your cuppa and your Sunday! Hugs and Smooches~

Wearing Lace and Drinking Tea

Happy Sunday everyone. I hope you all had a wonderful Valentine's Day and, you were able to get to the Love Is In the Air Fair and With Love Fair. This past week The Liaison Collaborative, Kustom9, and Genre opened.

The Liaison Collaborative's theme is Lace and Leather, and I really do love all the lace accents and outfits this round.  I am a huge fan of lace. Lumiere has a lace dress with shear lace sleeves and the overall style and cut of the dress is so elegant. I had to buy it as soon as I saw it. Also EarthStones has a bracelet cuff that is metal and leather--there is a pattern in the cuff that is reminiscent of lace.  I had to buy the cuffs as well.  Zenith also has rings and clutches at TLC, I didn't buy the rings because I thought they were too gaudy, but the leather clutches are cute and simple.  Also, Wicked Peach has a sexy mask (it comes in a tattoo layer) called "lace mask"... It is really sexy and adds a bit of elegance and mystery to any lingerie or outfit you may have. I had to buy it when I saw it.

Dress: Lumiere Lace Dress @TheLiaisonCollaborative, Shoes: Fri.Cora Heels(former Collabor88), skin: Glam Affair December II Jamaica (former Uber), Hair: Tableau Vivant Writer Hair Dark Blonde, Necklace: Maxi Gossamer ForgetMeNot Flower Heart Gold, Bangle: Earthstones Aviellce Beauty @TheLiaisonCollaborative, Eyes: Redgrave Catgreen and Natural Eyelashes, Ring: Aisling The Good Wife, Earrings: Glam Affair Romantic @Kustom9, Slink Casual Hands and High Feet, Whatever Fang Teeth

Kustom9 opened on Sunday and there are LOTS of separate pieces available again this round.  I did buy a dress and necklace combo by Zenith. It is floor length and sweater material.  The necklace is a dream catcher and the combo is so relaxed and dreamy. The arms in the dress are at the sides in pockets, so no arm movement with this dress; it still looks really well with my AO and I think if you don't have an exaggerated body movements with your AO (bending over, dramatic leg kicks, and such) you should be fine.

Dress: Zenith Comfy Sweater Dress @Kustom9, Necklace: Zenith Feather Dream Catcher in Gold @Kustom9, Shoes: Fri. Brienne Flats in Gray, Hair: Truth Vida, Skin: Glam Affair Ellie Skin Jamaica (former Kawaii Project), Eyes: Redgrave Catgreen and Natural Lashes, Whatever Fang Teeth and Slink Flat Feet

Genre's theme this month is The Dark Arts, so very witchy (like Wiccan) and somewhat mystical.  I didn't end up buying anything there...at least not yet. I did see a few outfits I could use for my Anti Avatar, so I will definitely be checking back later. Just a quick FYI if you are a Harry Potter fan, I am a HUGE fan, there is a dress by Whimey for the event. It is called Nagini, and it is a simple sleeveless dress with a snake wrapping around the bodice. I liked it, but then Nagini's character in the book always freaked me out. One thing the creator did that was very funny/disturbing to me is the colors for the dress are in the House colors.... Funny, but a bit disturbing...

As you all know, each round is good till the last drop. So take the landmarks and get your shop on, whether it is window-shopping or doing a good bit of damage to your wallet. Hugs and Smooches~

Every Leaf and Every Spice for the Perfect Blend

As I mentioned last Sunday, The Liaison Collaborative, Genre, Kustom9, Kawaii Project, and The Secret Affair opened last week. (If I remember correctly all of these events opened on the 15th...don't quote me on it.)

Genre is celebrating a birthday this round, so the theme is Celebration. Lots of party items and some party dresses. I bought one dress from The Annex--it was a really pretty red striped dress. Once I put it on, I paired it with my leather jacket by Foxes. It looks great, but when I got off the stand, the back of the dress has a slit... Like a huge slit. It was way too racy for me, so I switched it for my Anti. There are some other dresses, and some pants there, but I like The Annex dress the best.

The Kawaii Project has some very nice skins from Glam Affair. More natural tones and such, I bought a few, but other than that, there were not any outfits that screamed at me. Moon Amore has a skirt and cardigan combo there. I have been going back and forth debating on whether or not I want to buy one or not. I am still not sure. It seems a bit too young looking for me.  For those of you who have teen looking avatars, this might be a cardigan/skirt combo for you.

Kustom9 didn't have any full outfits I had to have, but I did buy lots of separate pieces to make new outfits with pieces from other events. MAINLY for the skirt by Amiable I bought at Season's Story. Pixicat has a crop-sweater at Kustom9 that pairs fabulously with the tulle skirt from Amiable I bought. I was so excited when I saw the sweaters listed on Seraphim.  When I tried the demo, It matched perfectly. So BAM! New outfit that is gorgeous.  I also bought some more skins from Glam Affair, similar to the ones at The Kawaii Project, but it has colorful eye-shadows and lip glosses.

Sweater: Pixicate Crop Sweater Pastel @Kustom9, Skirt: Amiable Mixtulle Lace Skirt @Season's Story, Shoes: Gos Carrie Pumps Ivory, Hair: Truth Harmony ponytail, Watches: Sorgo So Watch WhiteGold @Creation.JP, Jewelry: Yummy Pearl Stud Earrings and Ice Ring Quartz, Eyes and Lashes: Redgrave Catgreen and Natural6, Slink Nails, Phone: O.M.E.N. For Her: Riviera Phone, Skin: Glam Affair Ellie @Kustom9, Bracelets: Noodles: Positivity Bangles @FaMESHed
The Secret Affair opened as well, and the theme this round is "Untamed Purity".  I like the theme--I like how the designers all have lots of whites and lots of simple and diverse designs. I don't know if I mentioned this before in a previous post, but my favorite color is white (and yes, I know it is technically a shade...not a color, but it is a color to me. If Crayola has a white crayon, it is a color).  The outfit I did buy was by Junbug. The ensemble is called The Innocent.  It is a gacha, but I really liked the style of the dresses (so spending quite a bit of Linden$ to get the dress was worth it). It is more of a period-piece, but the detail and the textures are wonderful (as usual).  It does come with a sort of "jacket" you can put over the dress to make it more conservative and to give it a more..... I wouldn't even call it modern; it changes up the look of the dress.

Last but not least is The Liaison Collaborative. I did not end up buying anything form TLC this round.  There is quite a bit of jewelry there this round. I might get a jewelry set by Izzie.  It has pearl strands and pearl flowers. It is simple, yet mesmerizing....Yea, I think I am going to break down and buy it. There weren't really and outfits or clothing pieces I had to have.  But the jewelry is very nice, not gaudy, not quite simple. Overall very pleasing, and when you wear it, I am sure it will add the perfect touch to any outfit.

As always, have a great day and week. Enjoy your cuppa. Hugs and Smooches!~

Cup of Tea

So last week I posted about Collabor88, and this week not a lot rounds opened up until Saturday, yesterday. So let me tell you what I found...

Genre's theme this month is post-apocalyptic, same as Uber's from two month's ago.... Not too impressed with it, but I know a few people who will be excited to see some of the items, they are cheaper than Uber, and still of a good quality. Everything is under 100$L.  So for those of you into the Apocalypse, Zombies, etc. this is the Genre round for you.

The Liaison Collaborative opened Saturday as well, and the theme this month is Winter Harvest.  It was interesting to see what designers were there and what exactly they created for the theme.  I liked the sweater by Coquet, due to it having snowflakes on it (one of my worst kept secrets is I LOVE snow).  One thing at TLC which I immediately bought was the "Let it Go" pose pack by Exposeur.  It includes the magical snow with each pose and it is just awesome.  The only "bad" thing is, only you can use it. It is not a pose ball, or an animation. It is a pose you wear.  BUT, it looks amazing. So....there is that.

Skin: Glam Affair AngelicaV2 Jamaica @Kustom9, Eyeshadow: Wicked Peach: White Witch, Outfit Fishy Strawberry: Winter Bliss with Cardigan @Kustom9, Necklace: Schandenfreude Sun @Collabor88, Hair: Truth Aida, Skates: KH Ice Skates (comes with the ice skating AO), Earrings: Earthstones Smoky Topaz studs, Ring: Earthstones Splendid Love, Eyelashes: Redgrave Natural, Nails: SLink Nail Enhancements with Wicked Peaches Winter Moon Hud
Kustom9 opened, on Saturday, and I enjoyed this round better than the last one.  Zenith has a sweater dress that I bought. I liked the style. Upon pairing it up with items and such I found out the dress, which is not a long dress....not short either, but defintely not long enough for this, has slits on the sides.  I paired the dress with some black/brownish lace leggings I had laying in my inventory and then put on some large boots.  It looks good finished, but the slits were a surprise. This just gives me, and everyone as well, a reminder to please try the demos before you buy.  Also Fishy Strawberry has a nice sweater/skirt outfit that you can also by a matching cardigan with.  The whole set together looks cute, not quite business-casual not quite informal.  I liked it, and I paired it with large boots AND a pair of teal pumps. Both look good, but I am not sure what looks better.  (I am wearing the outfit in this post, and I have on ice skates with it, so it really looks good with just about anything.)

The Secret Room opened up on Saturday, too (it seems everything wanted to open up at once this week).  The Secret Room is sort of a fanciful event that has some gotchas, some items you by separately, and all items are supposed to have a theme... This theme is Harvest Moon.  I can see autumn in a few of the items, but I did not really see much Harvest Moon. I ended up getting these lipsticks that turned out way to candy colored than I thought, and I did fancy a robe by Peqe; alas for 399$L I thought the robe was a bit too much.  I guess I am just picky like that.

I did find out about a shopping event called Cosplay--I teleported there to check it out. Again, as with a lot of events this month, was not very impressed, but I did like Glam Affair's skin and Hair pack inspired by Chobits.  The skin comes with the hair, the hair comes with the skin. So you have to pick out the color and style of skin and look at the colors of the hair it comes with.  Be sure you know which one you want.  At 699$L, buyers remorse for this pack might be ghastly--which is why even though I like the packs, I have yet to buy one.  This event is going on until November 30, so go check it out if you can.
